Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
One of Frank Del Gallo’s fi rst acts as Rotterdam supervisor 17 months ago was firing the confi dential secretary in his office and — after telling her he was eliminating the position — replacing her with a political appointment who didn’t even live in the county. He prevailed upon the Town Board to waive the town’s residency requirement to hire Darlene Mullally, and pay her $12,400 more than her predecessor, to boot. But this year the board decided to make things right and cut her (over)compensation from $52,000 to a far more reasonable annual rate of $35,490. But as a story in Wednesday’s Gazette detailed, Del Gallo wasn’t fi nished finagling: He tried to give Mullally half as many hours for the same money, which he claimed would have brought her pay closer to what she was making last year. (Actually, it would have bumped her to an annual rate of nearly $71,000, a raise of some 40 percent!) But the board balked, so Mullally — perhaps tired of being a pawn in a political game — has decided to leave. Nothing personal, but given that Del Gallo could cut her hours by half, and given that there’s another full-time secretary employed in the supervisor’s office, it’s probably true that the town didn’t need her that much, anyway — and certainly not at $34 per hour! ....................>>>>.....................>>>>....................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r00902&AppName=1
tippy -the board would have to approve her. They approve all hires. But with that said, if FDG wants the Defect as his coffee maid, they really have no reason for blocking her appointment. BTW, can someone please explain what that lady's malfunction is?

She apparently appears to be the liberal socialist's 'anti-free speech cop'....aka.....'the unplugger'!!!

Even the Gazetto editorial bored has weighed in against this latest DEM taxpayer ripoff. And they usually support taxpayer rip offs. We don't need no friend of SS Savage over here. Let her go back to East Greenbush and check out the renaissance job market.
The security camera in the Senoir Center kitchen is another hoot. How can you steal a ham from the kitchen with a security camera? How can you report an hour late? Talk about looking a gift horse in the mouth. The cameras were donated by private citizen and these DEM morons disconnected them on bogus privacy concerns. Working together works!
I don't question the cameras........folks should be questioning how they even came into existence. Who requested them? Why? Did they approach the rotterdam town board first? After all, in the beginning they were looking into paying for them with the taxpayer's money. Did it go out to bid? Is the installer licensed?
You just can't go into a public, tax supported entity and install cameras or anything else without approval from the 'town board'. The rotterdam town board is held responsible for ALL goings on in rotterdam.
Personally, I think this is a violation. Did the rotterdam tb have previous notification about these cameras? Did the rotterdam town board check into the licensing of the installer?
And most importantly....WHO.....was the first one(s) to request them??
As far as the secretary.......the entire democon machine pushed and supported Mulally from day one!!! ALL OF THEM!! Watch them all try to leave fdg in the dust while the rest of the democons run for the hills!!! FDG didn't seek out Mullally......the democon machine brought her in!!!! Watch the back peddling begin!!!

I can think of a number of reasons to vote NO if she was recommended for appointment.
