What "Bush tax changes"?  The Bush income tax levels were set to expire in 2010.  The Democratically controlled House/Senate/Whitehouse voted to extend the “Bush Tax Changes”.  Aren’t they now "Obama Tax Changes"?  Of course not, the Obama campaign will be a referendum of the Bush Presidency...AGAIN!

I'm glad you linked the source, people can look for themselves to see this organization is bought and paid for by the trade unions and are "spread the weath" progressives.

The "Bush Tax Changes" are the changes GWB made to the tax structure from inception to the present day... Bush & Obama.

Some "Spread the Wealth" might be a good thing, since the above mentioned "Bush Tax Cuts" were the largest "redistribution of wealth" in our history.

Now that Cicero put in his objections... The "How we got there" graph is still valid.

We got here via the folks in BOTH parties....and they eat at the same trough...only one is on one end and the other on the other end, both looking at eachother
with slop on their faces all the while we shiver in the middle hoping not to get eaten by big government.....

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Redistribution of wealth???? Thanks for the early morning laugh, Box.
Allowing people who EARN their income (instead of being parasites on the gub'ment teet), get to keep more of it, in your twisted world, that's redistribution of wealth? People have called you a socialist on this site, you're proving them right.

Of course, "how we got there" makes no mention of Barry's 800 billion stimulus bill, part of the 4 trillion of debt he's racked up in 2.5 years.

Poor Tbird...
Tbird got his mouth running this morning before his brain was in gear.
~ "Of course, "how we got there" makes no mention of Barry's 800 billion stimulus bill"

Tbird... go to the graph...
Look at the dark blue pie...
Read the label that says "Economic Recovery Measures 16%" (Bush + Obama)
OK?
******************************
Then there's "Allowing people who EARN their income (instead of being parasites on the gub'ment teet), get to keep more of it, in your twisted world"
If you asked most of the Rich who paid their fair share of taxes all their life in the 50's, 60's 70's 80's and even into the 90's...
they would look at today's Rich as the ones who are (as you put it)  "being parasites on the gub'ment teet".

19% of the deficit is caused by the Bush Tax cuts or as America now calls them, the "Tax Cuts For the Rich".

Doesn't say Obama, YOU added that. It does say BUSH... geez, I wonder what political affiliation this ANALysis is from??

Again, thinking people that get a tax break are getting a redistribution of wealth is laughable. They are keeping MORE of their EARNED INCOME...they are producers, not parasites waiting for the monthly government check.

The illogic of Box's logic is funny, isn't it?  He thinks a deficit is caused by the lack of revenue that was never the rightful property of the government to begin with.  Box, do I have to show you the graph again?  You know, the one that shows the history of the top level federal income tax rate, and that no matter how high the rate, revenue always hovers between 18% and 20% GDP.

SPENDING CREATES DEFICITS!

Tbird.  OK, I assume that you are fully awake now, and recovered from your previous brain f@rt...

Go to the pie chart.
Again, look at the dark blue pie labeled "ECONOMIC RECOVERY MEASURES 16%."  Not the Bush Economic recovery measures... not the Obama Economic Recovery Measures, but the total that lead to these deficits.  (Bush & Obama)
The Tax changes ARE the BUSH TAX changes, which were continued by Obama.  OK so far?
The "Economic Recovery Measures" in the chart are... Um... how do I put this so you'll understand it...  THEY ARE THE ECONOMIC RECOVERY MEASURES!  What govt did to help prevent a global economic melt down.  That would include the Bush Stimulus the Obama stimulus and all other measures THAT WERE ECONOMIC RECOVERY MEASURES.

Take a nap before responding... I can see it's been a tough morning for you.

Box... schedule a appointment with an optometrist, since it appears you are blind as a bat.
The phrase (Bush and Obama) DOES NOT EXIST in the chart. I fully understand that it was both of them as a part of the 16%... however, the ANALyzer of the data conveniently does not break out the 16% further as not to tarnish Barry. But the ANALyzer has no problem pointing Bush out on the tax cuts.. tax cuts that were EXTENDED by Barry.. of course, Bush gets all the blame. PLUS, Barry also ends up giving us a 1 year reduction in SS payroll taxes... making a bad deficit situation worse... also a fact not in the graph.

The "BUSH TAX CHANGES", are as labeled.  Changes made by GWB.  They were not rescinded by Obama, so they continue to be the total pie associated with the CHANGES MADE IN THE TAX CODE BY BUSH.

The IN PARENTHESIS (BUSH OBAMA) THAT I ADDED AFTER YOU QUESTIONED THE OBAMA STIMULUS, and why wasn't it also in the pie.

I've posted the chart that IS self explanatory, but Tbird's problem isn't with the chart... it's with the reality of the chart that has him so irrational.  Anyone else want to straighten out Tbird??? it seems like a hopeless cause.  I'm movin' on.

These may be the RECENT changes, but tell me why we're not figuring in the first try at national healtcare that was brought in by LBJ (aka Medicare / Medicaid), which by the way, was the first try at national healthcare, they just decided to do it for the elderly and the indigent, since they couldn't sell the full thing one shot even back in 1965.  And let's not forget about all the illegal Federal programs which are unconstitutional.

Your are right, they were not rescinded by Obama, they were extended.
If Obama did nothing, they would have EXPIRED. This is on Barry, whether your DNC colored glasses want to see it or not.
