Longtime Schenectady County Legislator, Vince DiCerbo, has announced his resignation from the County Legislature. He already announced he will not seek re-election but now wants to leave the County ASAP. So much for any renaissance talk. Things are so bad under the DEM implosion crew that even long time public "servants" cannot wait until the end of their term to flee. Only in Schenectady County.

ooooorrrrrrrrrr.....they are stepping aside for newbees and future political positioning.....perhaps?

With the independent candidates popping up.....they have no choice but to regroup.

Will it work? Time will tell.

I suspect that bumblethru is right.  This strategy has been employed before by the Dems in the months leading up to elections.
If I'm not mistaken, that is how Marty Finn and Tony Jasenski initially were seated on the County Legislature.  They went on
to win the ensuing election.

This approach gives the candidate increased name recognition as he or she will be identified as the sponsor of new "feel good"
legislation and thus will receive extensive media coverage.  The local Democrats are very adept at using the local press to advance
their political and personal agendas.

They will plug in a sacrificial lamb. A seat warmer for the REPS. If Marty Finn or TJ Hooker are the models heaven help us. The DEMS are dropping like flies.

The DEM press conferences are a joke. Everyone in unison; "working together works". From the cheap seats; "working together works". I can't hear you! ~Rhetoric uber alles.

Didn't batman just accuse the REPS of not being able to keep a candidate in the race?  Looks like the Dems can't even keep VD in a chair.

He couldn't complete his third term! Built a home in Saratoga County and has fled the City. He will let you sheeple pay for Metrograft plans, new County Home and library addition that he supported. The DEMS will replace him with an unknown candidate running, as Brad and Bumble predicted. The same old DEM rope a dope. Another easy pick up for the REPS.

can't wait for the day when you leave. if u hate this place some much, why not go? it seems like nothing here pleases you, yet you remain.. why? why stay? do u think you will make a difference if you stay? i thinknot, because no one listens to you or takes what you say seriously. All you do is pump slime out each day. It truly is a sickness.

I stay because it is very close to work.  Once I retire, I'm gone - likely out of NY at this point.  (But that's a couple decades from now)

There's a big difference between a private citizen fed up with high taxes, lousy services, unopposed DEM morons and a County "leader" who voted for every tax and fee. The least he could do is serve out his term. But hell No-Feets don't fail me now!

Of course it grew...it's a popular destination for those who prefer to live on public assistance....soon there will be no one left to
pay for it.

I think this is the best explanation...and I think the same tactics will be employed at the most opportune time for the next
Rotterdam Town Clerk.
