Assistant Schenectady Police Chief Brian Kilcullen said the body was taken to Ellis Hospital for an autopsy. It is the body of a white man in his 30s or 40s. He was wearing a T-shirt that said "Black Watch" on the front and had the No. 3 on the back, Kilcullen said. He was also wearing shorts.
Black Watch is a traveling soccer team based in Schenectady.
GLENVILLE, N.Y. - A body that was pulled from the Mohawk River in Glenville Monday morning has been identified.
A body has been identified as 52-year-old Bernard Hill, of Schenectady.
Hill's body was discovered near Freeman's Bridge Road in Glenville by 2 men who had been kayaking on the Mohawk River. At approximately 10:57 a.m. officers from the Schenectady Police Department were dispatched to the area.
The two men told police that they had been kayaking in the Mohawk River and were approximately 200 yards east of The Lighthouse Restaurant when they saw the body floating, pulled it to shore, and called 911.
The cause of his death hasn't been determined. The body was then transported to Ellis Hospital for an autopsy Monday afternoon. Results of the autopsy are still pending.
Is this a second body that was found in the Mohawk this week? I thought that I heard that the identify of the body was that of a man with the last name of Rafferty.??
"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
He figured it was the bottom of the Mohawk or a life sentence in Schenectady. He was probably just more decisive than the rest of the residents who are trapped here.
