The BOA Study of Rotterdam Jct is winding up -- a fine presentation was made at the Town Board meeting on Wednesday night. The final report is due to the Town Board this summer -- and after the Town Board acts onthe report -- we should begin seeing steps taken to implement its recommendations.
A major part of its recommendations include the "Bicentennial Park" proposal which would improve State Canal Corp lands around Woestina Park, the old "Bonded Concrete site" and the area around the old Erie Canal lock --- along with a variety of improvements to the Mohawk-Hudson Bike-Hike trail through and around the Junction.
A general use town park has been the dream of every administration for at least 2 decades -- the dream is very close to becoming a reality.
OK, fine, then YOU pay for YOUR SOCIALIST programs. The taxpayers CANNOT afford it now. Of course, living off the taxpayer dole, you don't have a clue. Guess people have to explain to you. We have homes., we have our mortgages to pay for, our escrows are increasing because taxes are increasing to pay for NON-ESSENTIAL parks and bike trails. Gas is skyrocketing. Food prices have increased. Health insurace premiums are rising AND the co-pays are going up fast. Interest on savings is almost non-existent, investments are not providing much return. Virtually everything that is an absolute necessity is increasing in cost. A park and bike trail are NOT a necessity. NO ONE ON THIS EARTY is going to die without having these stupid socialist projects |
