the armory is an obsolete structure with inadequate parking -- that is hardly a reflection on the state of the City of Schenectady  ... the best bet would be to either demolish it and sell the land  for a shovel ready project or give it  SCCC.

Inadequate parking????????

Uh, DV, YOU are the one who says the CITY is in this big renaissance.   No parking needed.  You cheer for all the government condos to be built on Erie.  You cheer for all the taxpayer funded apartments you claim will be downtown.  All these people you THINK, you IMAGINE are going to be downtown, they will be within walking distance to go to this building.  And the rest can take a bus

So????

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

Another shovel ready project? ROTFLMAO!! Everything Death Ray and the pathetic DSIC say is shovel ready. BTW, got any tree grates cheap?

They should bag this manure for sale. Then the DEM morons might have money for road work, cops on the beat and 4 City pools.

Grammy could buy it to pile up all the "horse manure" that spews from his mouth (when he speaks) and his finger (when he posts)  .....

and no one wants his candy anymore

Maybe before the Taj Mahal of a City garage was built, one of the many hundred of vacant buildings in Schenectady could have been chosen. The Armory could have been rehabed and used for the garage for the same amount of money as building brand new ...but then that would have required being fiscally responsible with the taxpayer money.

Not in Schenectady.

You can't grease so many developers that way. A great use for the Armory-centrally located by 880. But the DEM morons wanted to build new on a brownfield and flush $20 million more tax dollars during a recession. Then they complain no money for road repair or SNAP. Wonder why?

Not one bidder? Let the implosion continue. Great month for the DEMS/Metrograft working together idiots. Olender's closes, Parker Inn goes belly up, Bistro lowers price again! Smells like renaissance.
