Man slashed in Schenectady

The incident happened Sunday afternoon on Lincoln Avenue.

Police have not recovered a weapon yet and say it may have been a butcher's knife that was used in the attack.

The victim was taken to Albany Medical Center.

No word on his condition.

The gun exchange program is working...They're using knives now.

But DV says crime is going down.

In a resiidential neighborhood, on a weekend day, on Mother's Day of all days, at 3 in the afternoon, broad daylight.

Yep, crime is going down.  So says DV.   (but he refuses to provide any documentaiton to support his belief)
