When Reagan was shot, the press covered the story as best they could. He was shot in surrounded by press and the shooting was on the air with in a few minutes. (Not thousands of miles away in Pakistan with NO press on scene).
There were numerous press releases that were half true, wrong and accurate, but no one lied. Trying to get the news out in a hurry leads to mistakes or misunderstandings. The news came from all the major networks as well as from White House staff...
~It was reported that Reagan had "open heart surgery" ... he didn't. ~It was reported that Jim Brady died at the scene... he didn't. ~It was reported that Reagan joked with the hospital crew saying "I hope you all are good Republicans"... He didn't.
In any breaking story there are inconsistencies in the reporting and in the reports... this story is no different.
(But it sure makes good opportunities for a Conspiracy Theory to take hold... Especially when you have desperate people like Cicero promoting the doubt.)

There are sadly more questions and less answers. Capturing him alive was written off I suppose because as Obama was committed to giving civilian trials to these war criminals and the political fallout was too great to give a trial (with ACLU lawyers no less!) in NYC to Osama. Of course all ringleaders and desperate mass murderers always say "I will never be taken alive" and in this case we did him the favor of refusing to take him alive, so in the end my prediction is that loss of control of the message, an incorrect strategy from the getout based on political concerns, and the hasty assassination without producing a body (of sorry-forgot the conflicting misinformation from the admin. for 3 days) will end up making this a net-loss for Obama politically. Confusion reigns supreme, the message is muddied and the American people (I really don't care about the Muzzie street) have too many unanswered questions to arrest doubt. And you can't blame Cicero of Rotterdam for worldwide and national doubt, sorry.
I don't even want to go to the fact that we made him a martyr...We will have that thrown in our face for decades. In time this will called the best executed, worst ordered black op in history.

I can't believe that you are comparing an 'unplanned' assassination with a high tech 'planned' assassination. And a planned assassination that was planned for months by and with the best intelligence in the world!! You have got to be kidding me!!

obama/bush/clinton/bush/reagan/kennedy etc make decisions in a vaccum....these folks are groomed and the machines/think-tanks and mechanisms behind them are what drives the giant machine....the problem happens when Atlas Shrugs....these folks are just another branch of the American 3 branch government...they are not kings/queens/dictators etc......nor are they idols......
