Osama Bin Laden Dead: Obama, National Security Team Watched Raid In Real Time
WASHINGTON -- From halfway around the world, President Barack Obama and his national security team monitored the strike on Osama bin Laden's compound in real time, watching and listening to the firefight that killed the terrorist leader.
Gathered in the White House Situation Room, members of the group held their breath and barely spoke as they waited to see whether a carefully crafted yet extremely risky plan would succeed, said White House counterterrorism adviser John Brennan. Obama had been playing golf but returned to the White House for the suspenseful watch Sunday.
Brennan said he would not reveal details "about what types of visuals we had or what type of feeds that were there but it was – it gave us the ability to actually track it on an ongoing basis." Typically, members of the Navy SEAL team that conducted the operation wear helmet cameras that transmit sound and video to their operation centers and that data can be fed live to the White House and Pentagon.
As the SEALs lowered themselves from helicopters into bin Laden's compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, the president and his advisers could only wait.
Mr Panetta said: "Once those teams went into the compound I can tell you that there was a time period of almost 20 or 25 minutes where we really didn't know just exactly what was going on. And there were some very tense moments as we were waiting for information. "We had some observation of the approach there, but we did not have direct flow of information as to the actual conduct of the operation itself as they were going through the compound."

Gather intel? 24 SEALS killed 5 unarmed human assets. They took no prisoners, and were able to raid and search the whole compound in under 40 minutes, collecting every bit intel available. And team Obama watched it live from the situation room, wait, I think, or maybe the didn't watch it. Did they see when they shot and kill Bin Laden's wife? Oh wait, they wounded her in the leg. I wonder if they seen the part where Bid Laden pulled the gun on the Seals...Oh wait, no guns in the compound...I think...It could change tomorrow...Bin Laden could have been strapped with a nuclear device. Maybe Bin Laden was hiding the Iraq WMD's in his compound.

Discrediting Barack Obama? I'm not writing the news stories about administration official that keep on changing the story. I'm just commenting. Sorry that I use a little logic. The first sign of a lie is inconsistencies of the story. There have been NUMEROUS inconsistencies already. I'm concerned about the inconsistencies coming from the press secretary and the people sitting in the same room that allegedly watch the whole mission. I'm sorry I'm skeptical Box, but facts is facts, the stories of the mission are changing by the minute.
