The events of the past week do leave me with questions. We or Nato bomb Ghadaffi's son's home and kill his youngest son and grandchildren. Ghadaffi and wife are in the home. I just thought we meaning the United States are not supposed to assassinate any leader without a trial?
And with Bin Laden, the DNA test done in less than 24 hours and verified ? Then how come when someone is murdered in the US it sometimes takes weeks to get DNA results? I know dental records can be done right away.

WASHINGTON (NNS) -- Osama bin Laden received a Muslim ceremony as he was buried at sea, a senior defense official said in Washington, D.C., May 2.
The religious rites were performed aboard the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) in the North Arabian Sea and occurred within 24 hours of the terrorist leader's death, said the official.
"Preparations for at-sea [burial] began at 1:10 a.m. Eastern Standard Time and were completed at 2 a.m.," said the official.
The burial followed traditional Muslim burial customs, and bin Laden's body was washed and placed in a white sheet, said the official.
"The body was placed in a weighted bag. A military officer read prepared religious remarks, which were translated into Arabic by a native speaker," the official added.
Afterward, bin Laden's body was placed onto a flat board, which was then elevated upward on one side and the body slid off into the sea.
The deceased terrorist was buried at sea because no country would accept bin Laden's remains, a senior defense official said.
Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and Defense Department officials are sure it was the body of bin Laden. CIA specialists compared photos of the body with known photos of bin Laden and said with 95-percent certainty it was the terrorist leader, a senior intelligence official said.
In addition, bin Laden's wife identified the al-Qaida leader by name while the strike team was still in the compound, said the intelligence official.
CIA and other specialists in the intelligence community "performed the initial DNA analysis matching a virtually 100-percent DNA match of the body against the DNA of several of bin Laden's family members," the official added.

Brezinski was on Morning Joe, a Rep show. I saw him too. He did state now was the time to work on the Palestinian/Israeli issue. That is correct. I am very unhappy with the killing of Gaddafi's grandchildren. Can't convince me that that is ok.
I also think the Brits were given this information Friday night--and that is why the royal couple postponed their honeymoon. I am sure they were told to stay put. Glad the US didn't do this operation Friday--would have ruined the wedding coverage.

The smart thing to do is to show Muslims that we respect all religions and that we are at war with terrorists... not at war with Muslims.

24 hours??? The report I heard on MSNBC this morning was the raid took place Sunday at 3:30pm EST and Obama's press conference was Sunday at 10:30pm EST. The compound was invaded, Bin Laden was killed, his identity was verified by DNA, and he was buried at sea all in 7 hours. And during the seven hours, the Obama Admin called every country on earth to see if they would provide a place of burial.

Says a lot if muslims actually give a crap what is done with Osama's body, here is a guy that had his hand in thousands of deaths including muslims. Are we to believe peaceful muslims consider Osama worthy of a respectful burial? Not that it matters any ways many are already bitching that we didn't do it right, pretty much if he didn't die on a ship it isn't respectful to bury him at sea. It is a no win situation with these people, more proof as why we should stay out of their countries and have nothing to do with them.

How do you say such contradictory things? If he is just a terrorist, why would you respect a Muslim religious tradition? Wouldn't that just reaffirm that terrorists are Muslims? I think by treating him like a homicidal maniac mass murderer and removing any religious aspect and lore would have separated him from being "A Muslim Terrorist". The fact that they respected his religion reminds the world that Muslims are the terrorists.
