It figures .. Joe and Kelly can't make an intelligent argument so they resort to personal attacks.

The fact is that Charter Schools take taxpayer dollars  but are NOT accountable to the taxpayers -- no one can deny that fact.    No charter school allows the taxpayers to vote for the school board or on the school's budget -- that is an indisputable fact.

And that is why I oppose charter schools.

ROTTERDAM
Charter school cancels application
Eximius proposal delayed for another year

BY JUSTIN MASON Gazette Reporter
Reach Gazette reporter Justin Mason at 395-3113 or jmason@dailygazette.net.

Founders of Eximius, a charter school proposed for the former Draper School, have temporarily pulled their application with the state Department of Education.
Lead applicant Karim Adeen-Hasan informed state officials of the withdrawal in a succinct note Monday, indicating that the school intends to resubmit an application during the 2012 cycle. Eximius spokeswoman Pamela Swanigan said the additional time will allow the school to tweak its educational, organizational and financial plans contained in the 192-page application submitted to the state earlier this year.
“We just needed more time to develop the application,” she said Friday.
The move comes less than two weeks after Eximius announced a series of “meet and greet” events in Schenectady’s Hamilton Hill neighborhood, an area from where the school intended pulling many of its students. The second of three events was scheduled for today.
The Mohonasen Central School District had scheduled a public hearing on the proposed charter school on Monday. The meeting would solicit comments about the proposal from the public to be forwarded to the Education Department’s Charter School Office. .........................>>>>...............................>>>>.......................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r01100&AppName=1

Great news .. no charter school in Rotterdam.

Let's get the DAV apartments built  A.S.AP.  --- then work on abolishing ALL charter schools in the state.

Here's another definition for you Ron:

Projection - Defense mechanism used when you are a liberal Demokrat with no valid or relevant response to facts and
involves attributing to others the undesirable characteristics or impulses which belong to but are not acceptable
to oneself; accusing others (me, Joe B and others) of one's (you Ron) own tendencies.

Let us know if you need us to define any of the words contained in the above definition....

Liberal - A dimented individual who supports unnecessary taxes, theft of municipal funds and the failing public school system
that brainwashes children for the purpose of perpetuating the communist mindset commonly found among members
of the Demokratik Party in which such individuals are usually enrolled.

what is dimented ?      it is not a word in the English language .. maybe it is a word in the language  of the voices that you hear in your head

Sorry for the typo...

Demented - Displaying symptoms of dementia when one posts irrelevant, convenient non-responses in a public forum while
ignoring previous statements to which the same one responds.

e.g. (that means 'for example')....

Gadfly acknowledges the use of tax dollars in Charter schools....Dough Boy continues to argue that tax dollars are used to fund
charter schools.

It is worthy to note that Dough Boy has displayed way too many similar examples in a wide array of topics to list in this post.

OK...it's kind of funny to hear any conservative stump for a charter school which has many of the same players as ICSS, which failed and took with it millions of taxpayer dollars...so the money that would have gone to the public schools instead got flushed down the toilet...and all the families that were paying that money ended up right back where they started...so who got rich? Good question. I'll tell you this: There wasn't much PRIVATE funding that went into ICSS. And now what little remains from that pot sits rotting in a mold-invested fire-and-water damaged building. So remember that when you're thinking charter schools are a good thing and that a reprise of the old ICSS will end any differently than before. Just because you can't SEE your tax dollars vanishing down a suck hole doesn't mean they're not...

Keeping 'location' out of the discussion........charter schools are the way to go. The only folks that are against it are the employees or the friends and family of the union that is robbing the taxpayers blind.

People not only need a choice..........they also need relief from these public schools. The schenectady school district is a prime example of why charter schools should be encouraged, supported and built upon!!

I know many charter school teachers who are devoted to the kids, love their jobs and HAVE made a positive impact on the students. People just don't hear enough about the positives that come out of the charter schools.....cause there are many.

Those bad unions......
