CAPITAL REGION More crime, fewer cops in area Tight budgets limit resources BY MICHAEL LAMENDOLA Gazette Reporter
Crime increased in most counties in the Capital Region last year, driven mostly by spikes in crimes against property, according to an annual report by the state Division of Criminal Justice Services. At the same time, many police agencies are contending with fewer resources as economic pressures squeeze their budgets. The state report showed crime increased in Albany by 4 percent, in Fulton by 11 percent, in Montgomery by 60 percent, in Saratoga by 11 percent and in Schenectady by 3 percent in 2010, compared to 2009. Schoharie saw crime decrease 18 percent.....................>>>>................>>>>................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r00101&AppName=1

Less money for cops. We've already seen quite a few shootings this year.
But wow, there is ample money to give tax exemptions to millionaires downtown.
See how much Schenectady dems care about the people who live in the city and pay taxes. Yep. And there is this board member who is shaking his pom poms cheering for all the downtown projects saying this is a renaissance.
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
So now I've read the story, they list all the counties here.
In each category, Schenectady has THE HIGHEST CRIME RATE !!!!!!!!!!
This is from official government sources too.
Now what was it that DV said, he claimed that crime in Schenectady is going down. His statements were obviously based on a phony web site, because he has never once provided a link, not a news story to reputable news source, NOTHING to support what he said. And gosh, he doesn't have a job so he has many many many hours each day to spend looking for the webisite he claims he sat it. Obvously total lies (so many lies that with Lent over he's too embarrassed to post)
But heck, it doesn't take any internet to know that crime is the highest, all you have to do is see 10 cops racing to the daytime drive bys, all you have to do is turn on your evening news to see the storiies of children being shot in broad daylight on playgrounds right neart their homes

Oh there's enough blame to go around. Perhaps if the cops actually worked instead of stealing drugs from drug dealers, worked instead of sleeping at a girlfriends apartment AND how about the honest cops (if there are any left) turning in the crooked ones?
The cops should be cleaning out their own barn........but ya don't see that happening either. And the folks in charge don't do a damn thing about it!
