SCHENECTADY, N.Y.-- Schenectady Police investigated both a shooting and a stabbing on Monday evening, within blocks from one another.

Around 8:30 Monday night, a 15-year old male walked into Ellis Hospital with an apparent stab wound to the his abdomen. The teen told police he was stabbed near Albany and Hulett streets.

A short while later, a 17-year-old male walked into that same hospital with an apparent gunshot wound to the leg. He told authorities that he was shot around Lincoln and Hulett streets.

Police say it's too early to say if the incidents are related.

Metroplex to historic building's owners: Sell it or we'll take it

(NOTE – yep, Savage GAVE a quarter mllion dollars of taxpayer money to the tax delinquents, which actually provided Alsdorf with a huge profit over what he bought the place for ---and for which HE CAUSED over a million dollars in damages--- and then Savage made the taxpayers pay the delinquent taxes on the building on top of that – this pair of delinquents never paid a penny in delinquent taxes)

Schenectady awarded $50K for Liberty Park redesign, lower State Street

. Metroplex will also match the grant with $20,000 toward the project.

No snow emergencies, very poor snowplowing, sewers failing, watermains failing, shootings, robberies, crime spiraling up, home values spiraling down, vacant houses at record highs, houses up for sale all over the place in the city but homes sit unsold after a year, NO ONE WANTS TO BUY A HOUSE IN SCHENECTADY.  Magificent house in the GE plot auctioned as a foreclosure.  Drive by shootings during the day.  Children shot in broad daylight on a neighborhood playground.  Restaurants robbed at gun point at times when families could be dininb.

Is the above what you cheerleaders say is Schenectady’s renaissance?

this is truly bullshit--- I see the wards of the looney bin are still in their fantasy world.  time to step up the ant0i-psychic dosage and also, once again, to thank god that people like you have failed repeatedly to gain public office. Please note that I put the emphasis on the word "failed" and is total, complete, absolute, dismal loser, which you are. This seems to be the only place where someone of your ilk [half-stupid and half-insane] can find a choir to preach, because, clearly, no one else wants to listen to your babble.

thank god for the wisdom of the electorate in rejecting you....

Smokey.....most of the electorate in the city are on the government take!  while most of them don't have the opportunityto attend proctors, they do however enjoy the lucrative government handouts that schenectady is famous for. The rest of the electorate is struggling to pay their taxes or have just left! And that is no fluff.......it is a FACT!!!

OK, I challenge youy.

There was a list of real estate transactions in the paper for Schenectady county a couple weeks ago.  Tell me how many were houses that sold IN THE CITY.

Please provide an answer (please cite with a link to official sources), the typical numbers of days a house in the CITY sits from the time it is listed with a realtor til an accepted offer has been made and then til closing.

Provide us (again, cite a link to official proof), of houses offered for sale within the city....what was the initial asking price and what was the actual selling price.

Tell us how many vacant houses there were 10 years ago, and how many there are today.

Tell us what the crime rate was 10 years ago, 5 years ago, and today.

Tell us how many DAYTIME DRIVE BY SHOOTINGS there were 10 years ago, 5, years ago, and recently.

How many children were killed during the day time on playgrounds 10 years ago, 5 years ago, and today.

Of all the "new" jobs downtown, how many were actually transplants from other places e.g., I trust you DO know that NYS Transportation was actually a TRANSFER of their few hundred jobs from Albany, they are NOLT, I repeaate NOT "NEW" jobs.  Savage did not CREATE NEW jobs.

Tell us how many of high paid engineers and bankers that have been moved to downtown have bought houses IN the city??????    Please proviide official proof, cite a link.

Tell us what the trash fee was before Stratton and post Stratton.

Tell us how many Operation Crackdown drug raids were undertaken (liek the one Jurzynski did in something like 1994 or so.).   Please provide a link to some website, e.g., SPD or local newspaper.

Tell us how much the DEM's high paid political patronage employees paid property & school taxes ON THEIR OWN RESIDENTIAL HOME ADDRESSES to the city.   Well????   How many department heads live in the city???????    Huh?????   Tell us???????        When you don't personally experience the pain of those high taxes, you don't don't care about giving up a taxpayer funded car and cell phone.

The changes downtown were intended to increase the property tax base i the city.  Telll us what is the TAXABLE assessment value of the properties downtown.

Please provide offficial records showing what the typical city tax bills were before Stratton and currently, based on things being equivalent--equivalent meaning, don't dare try tro provide one tax rate based on an equalization rate of 100% and an equalization rate of 60%, etc,

Tell us the graduation rate in schools before Stratton and now.

Tell us what the county tax rate was a before Savage and now - for properties IN the city.   What was the county tax rate IN THE CITY in 2010 vs 2011 when Savage proudly proclaikmed the lowest taxes in 50 years!!!

Please answer these above.   Can you do that?

Tell us how much in property and school taxes the financially struggling homeowners are paying to make up for the exemptions for the millionaires downtown.

Tell us why the multmillionaire aul Mitchel can't pay taxes on his for-profit school.

BIG hotel chain, worth a bundle, explain why a typical city household fo $30,000 income struggling to pay their OWN taxes should ALSO be mandated to pay the property taxes of the multimillion dollar hotel chain.

By the way, how much do the ticket takers at the movie theater, parking lot workers, and the dishwashers at the restaurants, and the maids at the hotels get paid annually.  What health insurance and pension benefits do the millionaires provide to their employees?    How many of the employees in these jobs are buying houses in the city and becomming property taxpayers?    On the other hand, how many of them are getting some public assistance benefits to supplement what they are getting paid?

Can you answer any of these?   Wait, no, not "can you answer" but rather, provide your answers, and be sure to cite official sources (provide links)

It would be nice to hear something of substance from you instead of your constant bashing. A little bit of intelligent discussion would make for a good read rather than your constant babble. Usually it takes one to know one so I guess we could visit you any time in Ellis' E-wing, yes?
I'm not saying that you lack the intelligence, but it would be nice to read words from you other than what you write.

Gee, SB aka DV still has not responded to my "challenge"     Perhapse furiously googling for some website that might even remotely support what he says?    Trying to find a website that refutes the facts that I got from official records?

Wonder if the cheerleader will provide facts with links in six months' time, ya think?
