The Conservative Party was formed in 1962 to restore a meaningful choice to the voters of New York State. At that time, the three existing political parties espoused the doctrinaire liberal philosophy of the welfare state at home and the collectivist ideology abroad. In just four short decades, the party has grown from a small band of conservative-minded men and women to a statewide organization of almost 155,000 individuals dedicated to the traditional American values of individual freedom, individual responsibility and individual effort. From a humble beginning garnering 141,000 votes on ballot Row F, our principles have attracted Empire State voters in sufficient numbers to raise the Party to Row C and twice received over a million votes for our candidate in a statewide election. From the founding of the party, it has been successively chaired by Kieran O’Doherty, J. Daniel Mahoney, Serphin R. Maltese and Michael R. Long. Through the leadership of these men and the hard work of committee members, the Conservative Party elected James L. Buckley to the U. S. Senate, William Carney to the House of Representatives, Serphin R. Maltese to the State Senate, Rosemary R. Gunning and Charles Jerabec to the State Assembly, and numerous county, city, town and village offices

Isn't it ashamed that in just 40 years the Conservative Party in Schenectady County espouses the doctrinaire liberal philosophy of the welfare state and collectivist ideology abroad.
Gadfly, maybe you don't like the NNTC because it represents what your party was formed to represent.

Well thanks so much for thinking of me Cis...but I'm well aware of my Party's founding purpose...and yes, it is a heartbreaking shame that the traitors who run the Schenectady County Conservative Committee are loyal to liberals. As I told your buddy BT...that's why the conservative members of the Party challenge their choices in the form of Primaries.

Yeah...I think Angelo ran a primary for the Conservative line - and won. The "real" conservative members really nailed that one...lol

BTW...You're welcome.
Yeah Cis...me, BL, BM, and all other "real" conservative members of the CP got it wrong...it was a grave disappointment...and I'm sure you've never made a mistake...so I guess that gives you the right to pound salt our wound...thanks for the welcome but I'm really not compelled to thank you.
It is shameful that the local cons have switched alliances and joined their polar opposite......the dems. Hence the DEM-O-CONS! Thank God there are folks out there such as the NNT-CAUCUS that are doing what the 'real con party members' should have been doing for years!
We need to start somewhere, just like the originators of the conservative party did. The local reps are doing the right thing! The reps coupled with the conservative NNT-CAUCUS may become successful enough to break the liberal dem-o-con political mess that they have created for themselves. imo
