Veteran TV reporter will join NewsChannel 13 after short retirement

MENANDS -- Veteran television reporter John McLoughlin has joined the staff of NewsChannel 13 in a part-time capacity, starting later this month.

McLoughlin, 68, a political reporter who retired from News 10 at the end of January after nearly 39 years at that Albany-based station, said Thursday he will work three days a week for NewsChannel 13, based in nearby Menands.

He will report enterprise stories from around the region, he said.

In addition, he said, starting in May, he will write a weekly column for the Daily Gazette that will on Friday.
