oh, I thought he was taking us out of Iraq as one of his first priorities?  We're still there?  How'd that happen with an all Dem congress for the first two years of his presidency?

You thought he was taking us out of Iraq as one of his first priorities???
As usual, you got it wrong.

Presidential Candidate Barack Obama pledged to get combat troops out of Iraq within 16 months... although it took him an extra 2 months, he did get combat troops out of Iraq.

You can't just invent positions then complain when those positions are not adhered to.  On Iraq, Obama did just what he pledged to do.

On a side note... if you look at what Obama has been doing for much of his presidency, except for health care reform...
Obama has been fixing Bush's disasters.
~Bush inherited a surplus
~ A vibrant economy
~ No wars.

Bush left behind...
~A war in Iraq,
~A war in Afghanistan,
~The worst economic meltdown since the great depression,

IMO, if Barack Obama just gets us back to where the USA was when GWB took office, his presidency will be a resounding success!

Thank You MT.  Your video has proven my point... Obama kept his commitment to get all combat troops out if George Bush's Oil War in 16 months.

911/fear was bush's open door and obama's is the 'created' Egyptian uprising then used the guise of 'democracy'! HA!

Bush left behind...
~A war in Iraq - Obama replaces U.S. Troops with paramilitary
~A war in Afghanistan - Obama escalated troop levels
~The worst economic meltdown since the great depression - Obama adds $2 Trillion in new spending in 2 years and runs a $14 trillon deficit.

Yes Cicero...
You got it right this time!  Congrats!!!

~US COMBAT TROOPS are out of Iraq, support, logistics, training and security troops are still there until such time that Obama can completely withdraw from Bush's Oil War.

~If you paid attention, Obama pledged to increase troops to Afghanistan... and he's done that.

~Obama continued the Bush Stimulus plan to keep America from a total Depression. (Fixing the Bush Economic Meltdown IS Expensive.)
If the Republicans would agree to make the Rich pay their fair share of taxes, the deficit might actually shrink instead of grow.

The economic meltdown was in the works long before Bush.....it's rollers were rolling before Clinton......AND BOTH PROFITTED.....

BOTH PARTIES EITHER
1. knew what was going on and didn't do anything because they are INEPT
2. knew what was going on and didn't do anything because they are GREEDY

so you get to pick.....are they that stupid or are they lazy greedy bastards......both parties were privy to all that was happening.....

I love the verbage.  Early Vietnam troops were "advisors" and Libya is a "kinetic military action".  Now we have "logistics, training, and security troops".  Those are not troops - got it.  To quote Abe Lincoln -  If you call a tail a leg, how many legs does a dog have? Five? No, calling a tail a leg doesn't make it a leg.

I hope you are just being a good comrade and selling the lies you are told, and don't actually believe it.

$600 million is 6 days.  Yes, Obama a real fiscal hawk.  Maybe while Obama and Jeff Immelt were in Brazil for Carnival he was able to get our Tommahawk Missiles sponsored by General Electric.  Money well spent, huh Box.  Obama had to go in and clean up Bush's mess in Liby...oh wait, Bush had nothing to do with Libya.  But I'm sure your Bush Derangement Syndrome will cause vivid hallucinations of Bush bombing Libya and Obama is cleaning it up.

War is over: Last U.S. combat troops leave Iraq; 50,000 remain as advisers
DAILY NEWS
Wednesday, August 18, 2010

The last American combat troops left Iraq on Wednesday, battling no more than civilian traffic on potentially hostile desert roads en route to safe haven in Kuwait.

The last of the 14,000-member 4th Stryker Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division - about 4,000 strong - began crossing the border in the predawn hours, almost two weeks ahead of an Aug. 31 deadline for the end of "Operation Iraqi Freedom."

Some 50,000 U.S. troops will remain in the country until the end of 2011 to advise and train Iraqi forces and protect U.S. interests.

Ok......someone who is a marine explained to me why obama didn't need congressional approval to go into Libya..........

Congress approves the declaration of war, which is a formal matter of letting the commander in chief use everything he has available to win the war, including nuclear weapons if he so desires. A military action may (there have been more restrictions since Vietnam placed upon the president/commander in chief) be conducted with little or no approval from congress.

So as long as the pres calls it a military ACTION.........he is good to go!!! And that's why Libya is called a kinetic military action! It's not considered a WAR!
