That's a stretch even for you Box. I wasn't aware that Bush was going to attack Yemen but just ran out of time. So many countries so little time.

Really?
I don't necessarily disagree with selective strikes to take out terrorist targets... but Obama's Yemen strike is nothing new or different from the last several presidents.

~ The Abu Kamal in Syria raid took place on October26, 2008  (BUSH) was performed by United States helicopters and troops. A  high ranking terrorist Abu Ghadiyah was killed.

~ A series of strikes over 3 days including the Kurve airstrike on September5 2008 (BUSH) killed at least five people in Pakistan's border region against suspected terrorists.

~ The Dhusamareb airstrike took place on  May1 2008 (BUSH) when the US launched a missile attack against a target  in central Somalia.  The target was a al-Shabaab terrorist group.

The list is a long one... including in Yemen:

~ On November 3, 2002, (BUSH) a  Predator fired a Hellfire missile at a car in Yemen. Al Qaeda leader Qaed Senyan Abu Ali al-Harithi was the target and is believed to have been killed according to U.S. official. The attack also killed five other men including an American citizen suspected of belonging to Al Qaeda.

Box don't get me wrong I'm thrilled that Obama is trying to kill terrorists where ever they may be hiding, I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy of when Bush did it, it was bad but when Obama does the same thing it's good.

Bush INVADED IRAQ INSTEADOF ATTACKING TERRORISTS INCLUDING BIN LADEN IN AFGHANISTAN.

When asked about BinLaden, Bushy said... He's not concerned with BinLaden.  When Bush did that... YEA, it was BAD!

But it was OK when Slick Willy did it in order to get his name (or the idea of the blue dress) out of the headlines, wagging the dog.

Kevin, you've been drinking the Right Wing Propaganda Cool Aid and it's rotted your brain.
Blue dress???

In Aug 1998 Bill Clinton ordered an attack on Bin Laden in Afghanistan... similar to attacks against terrorists by Presidents past and since...  The attack missed BinLaden by a few hours.
Had Clinton been successful in this attack he would likely  have prevented the Sept 11 attacks on the WTC.

Right Wing Media promoted it as a publicity stunt (of course)... but consider if that attack had been successful... America would have never known about what that attack would have accomplished, or the lives it would have saved.
Bush also failed to capture or kill BinLaden for 8 years at a time when BinLaden was a much more prominent enemy than in Clinton's time.

And what if we got him after the original bombing of the WTC?  What if we stopped the Japanese before they bombed Pearl Harbor?  What if the Japanese made attacks on the mainland US and stopped us from bringing the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki?  You can continue with "what-ifs" forever, but you have to go with what actually happened, not what if something did happen.  It's called the real world.

And the "real world" is that Bill Clinton attempted to kill a terrorist (BinLaden) on foreign soil. (A good thing...).
GWB attempted to kill BinLaden in Afghanistan (a good thing) but then gave up the hunt, to go after oil in Iraq (a bad thing). Then GWB said that he "wasn't concerned about Bin laden" (a very bad thing).
Barack Obama then pursued and killed Bin Laden in Pakistan (A very GOOD THING).

Attacking terrorists around the world is an unfortunate but necessary part of today's global security.

The attack on BinLaden by all three presidents was a move in the right direction.  All three of those attacks could have led to killing BinLaden.

How is it viewed on this Right Winger Board???  ( "But it was OK when Slick Willy did it in order to get his name or the idea of the blue dress out of the headlines") pretty lame excuse.

Then why is it that we always need to be the first responders?  Why not let NATO, or France, or any of the other countries that wouldn't exist today if it weren't for U.S. intervention, take care of the problems that ehy see across the world?

Read the news... In Lybia, the British and French have attacked Gaddafi in helicopters  (and put their troops at risk)... They ARE helping.  They aided us in Afghanistan.
The French & much of Europe saw the Bush Iraq Oil war as a scam, (which it was) and refused.

They're helping now, but why did we need to be there first, and the first to start firing rockets, making us (THE US, NOT THE UN OR NATO) the aggressors?  It now looks as though we attacked for nothing, then leaving our mess for someone else to clean up.

8 NATO  allies are participating in air strikes against Libya, led by France and Britain. Smaller countries such as Norway and Denmark represent about 12 percent of the strike force but are flying a significantly larger proportion of the strike missions.  Spain, Turkey, the Netherlands  Germany and Poland are being asked to carry more of the missions.
The United States  is providing 75 percent of the air tanker refueling capacity and as much as 80 percent of the intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance flights.
