SCHENECTADY -- The county director of the bureau of weights and measures has been suspended without pay after he was arrested Friday on fraud charges.
District Attorney Robert Carney said C. Todd Godlewski personally collected fines sent to a post office box he opened on behalf of the department.
Godlewski's job involved levying fines to businesses for selling items ranging from bread to plastic sheeting to gasoline that were not accurately weighed.
Carney said that in one instance Godlewski sent a fine notice to a Lowe's for inaccurately weighing plastic sheeting. The letter asked for the $2,500 fine to be sent to his post office box instead of the commissioner for county finance.
Godlewski, who had headed the department since 2006, was charged with third-degree grand larceny, defrauding the government and offering a false instrument for filing. He was arrested by State Police.
I find it interesting that the STATE POLICE arrested the democrap hack. Apparently the locals are too intertwined politically or refused because of the close connection between the local policing bosses and the democrap gangsters that the Godlewski clan is intertwined with.

SCHENECTADY COUNTY Official accused of stealing fines BY DAVID LOMBARDO Gazette Reporter
Schenectady County official Christopher Todd Godlewski was arrested on Friday by the state police and charged with grand larceny for allegedly diverting at least $2,500 in county revenue from fines into a personal account, said District Attorney Robert Carney. Godlewski, the director of the county’s Department of Weights and Measures, was released on bail Friday night and has been suspended without pay as the county begins disciplinary actions to fi re him. Carney said that Godlewski had been charged with grand larceny in the third degree, defrauding the government and other related charges. Godlewski was arrested in conjunction with a joint investigation between Carney’s office and the state police. Godlewski’s work with the county was to oversee the accuracy of services such as scales or gasoline pumps and impose fines on retailers and manufacturers when they violate regulations or defraud the public. County Attorney Chris Gardner said that the investigation had started after irregularities were detected about 10 days ago by county Finance Commissioner Deborah Mancini. He said that Mancini became aware of improper paperwork and accounts in addition to a notice about a fee that required payment to an unauthorized post office box and bank account. She then notified Gardner and County Manager Kathleen Rooney, and they then presented their suspicions to Carney. This began a joint operation that culminated in search warrants on Godlewski’s house, office and bank. Gardner said the county had been proceeding on a parallel path to execute its own disciplinary actions on Friday. He said once in the custody of the state police, Godlewski confessed to stealing fines, which he is accused of doing since December of 2009. ......................>>>>.........................>>>>......................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r01104&AppName=1

...no relation. It is just a matter of coincidence that several democrap hacks have the same obscure name. Similar to Smith.

This Godlewski IS related to the Rotterdam Town Council member. So is the guy arrested in the junction for some sexual misconduct charge. Mike the attorney is not related but it probably cost him the school board seat he ran for last year.
There is also a former cop/candidate from Scotia/Glenville who is a brother to a Godlewski. I think his name is MacFarland. They are VERY related GB. Who you kidding? Yourself?

SCHENECTADY COUNTY DA: Phony account linked to team BY MICHAEL LAMENDOLA Gazette Reporter
The suspended director of the Schenectady County Department of Weights and Measures used fi nes he allegedly embezzled through his position to operate a baseball team, according to authorities. C. Todd Godlewski, of Glenville, was charged by state police Friday with felony grand larceny for allegedly embezzling $2,500 from the county. He is accused of setting up an unauthorized county post office box and a bank account and allegedly diverting fi nes through them for his personal use, said Schenectady County District Attorney Robert Carney. Carney said he plans to bring the case before the Schenectady County grand jury for further action. Gardner said Godlewski set up the post offi ce account in December 2009. As director of the department, Godlewski could levy fi nes against businesses, manufacturers and others who he said violated state Agriculture and Market laws regarding the accuracy of product weights and packaging, said Schenectady County Attorney Christopher Gardner. Carney said the post offi ce account bore the name “Schenectady AG Fund,” with the “AG” apparently signifying agriculture, and that the bank account was connected to the name “Schenectady Pirates,” a baseball team that played in the former Eastern Collegiate Baseball League. Godlewski is listed as an owner and head coach of the team on its website. The team had a full season in 2010 but is no longer in operation or part of the league, which merged last year with the New York Collegiate Baseball League, said Butch Russo, former league president. Tom Kennedy is listed as a coowner and general manager and Stephen Kowalczky is listed as assistant head coach of the Pirates. Phone numbers listed on the website for the two men are no longer in service. Godlewski’s phone number is in service but no one answered a phone call. The county suspended Godlewski Friday without pay from his $62,000 per-year job and is seeking his resignation or dismissal, Gardner said. ................>>>>....................>>>>.......................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r00903&AppName=1
Schenectady Pirates. Very fitting. That should be the name for the county democrap gang that runs the legislature.

The name is not as common as the "Jones". That is all that I will say on the subject.
