Who says hes in favor of raising taxes? wtf are you talking about!?!?!?!?!? ugh you make an affirmation under oath if its not true its perjury...

If  you had even ONE brain cell you would understand that lowering 'anyone's' taxes mean the rest shoulder the tax burden. duh

I think MV is in great shape, if the only thing anyone can find to criticize about him is one suggested policy that he has brought up in the past!

Oh that's right, Mary Barrie has all but called him illiterate on this blog.  That's very adult of her! I know MV personally, and not only does he not have a mean bone in his body...he is a literate, compassionate and dedicated person.  He would serve well on the town board.

I believe otherwise.  NO intellect for Government?  You kidding?  And GP and ST and JMertz and Signore had intellect.  Please--they were a band of idiots.  My own elderly mother who really doesn't pay much attention to these things thought they were useless in  their roles.  She is just trying to live out her remaining years in her home in Rotterdam (no she won't go to the Center)  Your comment is out of line and misguided.

Although I appreciate MB's once desire to serve, I don't think MB or MV is the best choice for a county leg position. Historically environmentalists are a taxing machine. And MV........well asking the majority to shoulder the tax for the few would be a very hard sell.

Kinda amusing coming from you Kell after all you are a copservative, for republican, former democrap. You have no right to talk you worthless hypocrite...

It appears that 'Kell' saw the light when she abandoned the dem party.

As far as leaving the rep party for the con party is clearly a personal choice that most don't understand.....however, many will not join or vote on the copservative line since they have been endorsing liberals as of late. HENCE............DEM-O-CONS!!

So to some, anyone who is affiliated with the local con party is considered a liberal dem! Ya know....the same ones that endorsed, supported and campaigned for REVITALIZE ROTTERDAM!!!

no one is 'more equal' than another.....no tax breaks for those with elders in home....you make yourself a podium puck/victim.....the government need
NOT get involved in a very PERSONAL matter that should be dealt with amongst the family of the elder.....same goes for kids.....we are what we are
and we always seem to give the government more fuel for their 'smoke machine'......shame on us......

it's not perfect when a person takes care of their elder, it's not rocket science but when the government gets involved(ie:stupid STAR) it becomes
nothing more than an illogical podium puck that cost a hell of alot more and never goes away....because really---where do you draw the line??? everyone
will have difficulty taking care of the elder and honestly it's mostly emotional....I've taken care of the elderly for 20years and it's the family that has issues(irrational alot of the time)......

being an elder DOES NOT make one more equal than another
being a caregiver of an elder DOES NOT make one more equal than another

dont set yourself up as a podium puck.....this is just normal...dont cry to the government

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

'we the people' make taking care of the elderly as a 'problem/burden'. We go to the government crying for help to take care of a family member. And the government is right there to lift this awful burden of taking care of a 'family member'. Shame on us!!

People do the same thing with their kids. Crying to the government  because raising children are such a burden. Schools are mandated to provide breakfast, lunch and sometimes dinners and snacks. Extended hours to babysit. Sex education! Shame on us!

What will be next..........government subsidized domestic animal care??? government medical care and food stamps for domestic animals?

This is yet another example of the family unit falling apart. Families, collectively, do not share in the responsibilities that face them today. So they expect 'mommy and daddy government' to pick up the slack that is clearly a 'personal/family' issue!

And then they b**ch because their taxes are too high and government is too big!!

Come on folks......get real!
