Cats found dead in apartment; person sought

    A Schenectady man is wanted for questioning in connection with an animal cruelty case involving two dead cats and a third close to death found inside a State Street apartment Friday, authorities said.
    Wendall Smith, 25, of 1519 State St., is a “person of interest” in the incident, said Mathew B. Tully, chief of the Schenectady, Schoharie and Saratoga County Society to Prevent Cruelty to Animals.
    “This is one of the most disturbing cases of animal cruelty I’ve seen in a long time,” Tully said. “We are asking for the public’s help in locating Wendall Smith, but caution against approaching him,” he said.
    Tully said Smith was arrested one year ago in connection with an animal cruelty charge in Albany County.
    Tully said the SPCA learned of the alleged cruelty through a phone call to its hotline Friday morning. He said when SPCA investigators searched an apartment at 1519 State St., they found two dead cats and one barely living that had apparently been eating the dead animals. .......................>>>>...................>>>>.................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r01604&AppName=1

This guy should never be able to have another animal of any type for as long as he lives.

Owner of this property, listed in the County tax record as Robert Kurdt of Earlton, NY. Wife is Anoietta Kurdt the daughter of the late Guido Tebano. Guessing a criminal check was not done prior to Mr. Smith moving in...would have been helpful if the landlord knew this man was arrested for animal cruelty and had three cats in his apartment.

Could be : (  Reminds me of the story in the paper the other day about the trailer park where no one has seen the owner of the park and checks sent to him never cashed

From what I read Wendall Smith is Guido Tebano's grandson.
