Capital Region private-sector hit harder than first thought
The Business Review - by Adam Sichko
Date: Wednesday, March 9, 2011, 2:34pm EST

New data shows the Capital Region’s private sector fared much worse in the months after the recession ended than first thought.
The state Department of Labor released revised data on Wednesday—and the picture wasn’t pretty for the Albany-Schenectady-Troy metro area, which covers five counties.
The labor department originally thought the region’s average annual count of private-sector jobs dropped by 800 from 2009 to 2010, a dip of 0.2 percent.
Instead, the revised data show the decline was actually 3,300 jobs—five times the rate of decline in the earlier estimate.
The resulting 1.0 percent decline was the second-largest drop of the 13 metro areas in the state, behind only Binghamton.
Statewide data paint a different picture.
The revised numbers reveal New York lost 335,300 private-sector jobs during the recession, or 17,400 fewer than previously thought.......................>>>>...............................>>>>..........................http://www.bizjournals.com/albany/news/2011/03/09/capital-region-private-sector-hit.html

The Schenectady County unemployment rate went up from 7.4% in December to 8,2% in January! This does not make any sense. Death Ray Gillen and Landslide Savage keep lying about new jobs. Moving a job from Rotterdam to Downtown does not create anything new.

In the Proctor's Playbill the County taxpayers paid for a full page add where these County bozos tout 3,500 new jobs. Aside from the hot dog jobs at DSS and 200 battery jobs at GE where are all these jobs? Will someone in the MSM finally demand that they list all the 3,500 jobs they lie about creating? If they created 10% the jobs they claim the unemployment rate in the County would not be at 8.2%

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

I'm sure this will be a hot issue for the November election. I can just imagine how the DEMS are scrambling to 'make the numbers work' from the Plex's bloated press releases. For every puff piece the Gazetto prints, there will be a corrected, accurate report from the TU or Business Review. Can you smell the desperation? It's just beginning.

The DEMS have already walked it back. Mayor Stratton, to his credit, talked about hundreds of jobs Downtown in 7 years not the ridiculous 3,500 jobs that Landslide Savage/Death Ray keep spouting. The DEMS lie about creating jobs while County unemployment keeps increasing. The peeps are laughing at the Gazetto that prints these nonsense faxes. Rising unemployment, crime, wasteful governmental spending and the County Home debacle are all major issues for November.

SB has no trouble. He gets paid every Friday to be a patronage hack of the demcorap party. He doesn't care about struggling middle class people. He is on "Obama's team!"

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
