Do the "leaders" reach a consensus with the committee when deciding on a candidate before speaking to the possible candidate?

Or do they just lead the committee by the nose?

As far as I know all but the CP Committee goes through the process of vetting candidates through both their Boards and their
full Committees...the CP Committee is the only one that does not have a full Committee vote on endorsements...not even when
their bylaws required it, come to find out...their Executive Board alone now makes endorsement decisions.

Then what is the point of having a 'full' con committee when their vote doesn't matter or count? And who is on this con executive committee?

There is no point as far as I'm concerned...our votes aren't even taken. let alone matter or count.

The CP "Executive Suite" is Randy Pascarella (Hamilton front man)....Bob Hamilton (servant to the Demokratz)....Mike Della Rocco, a
dinosaur dirtbag that has always been the liaison between the Kratz who run the Party and the union operatives that always hijack the
Party under their direction...Skip Marx, another sleeze who does the dirty work for them....Rich Dunsmore, RPD... Chris Foster, RPD...
Steve Janik, Glenville PD...John Claughsey, retired cop...Rosalie Claughsey, very nice woman...Mike Viscusi, who sold his soul to them
just to be on a Board he previously opposed...must be where his nephew Angelo learned it from......it's my understanding they make
fun of him behind his back because they think he's stupid but they'll pretend he matters because not only will he be a useful work
horse but he won't ask any questions because he doesn't understand the process...Joe Guidarelli, "Publicity"Chair...although they go
out of their way to keep what they do secret...and Jim Barrett, a jail guard who is a willing puppet to whoever is running the Party for a
meaningless title, much like Viscusi.

Spidey I think you have been hanging around with Cicero...please show me where in the above I express hatred for cops or
businessmen...and where I make reference to anyone's speaking skills, let alone hate them for it.

I agree with gadfly on this one.

However, I'm still finding it strange that the con party has a 'full committee' but yet this full committee, that represent districts aren't allowed to vote.   What is the point?

And who votes in the executive committee members? I'm sure that would be the 'full committee'....I SHOULD HOPE!!

Oh come on now Bumble.  YOU are still licking your wounds from Angelo and Tony J disposing of you in the 2007 conservative primary.  You have become very bitter, twisted and cynical.  Move back to Brooklyn and take your illegal barn exemption with you.  You whine more than a teenage girl who missed her period!  God you sicken many of us with your nastiness and mean spirited posts.  Brian M...WORD TO THE WISE ...CUT THIS WITCH LOOSE!

Pretty much everything that Gadfly has said is a crock of blarney --  at least as far as her statements about theDemocratic committee.   No one has asked anyone to run -- we have asked those interested to submit letters of interest and those candidates who have sent letters will be interviewed by a screening committee.   Eventually, the screening committee will make recommendations  .. but it will be the FULL town committee that makes the final decision of who is endorsed.    My guess is that there will be more than 3 candidates vying for the endorsement for supervisor and more than 3 candidates vying for the  2 town councilmember endorsements.

It's true DVOR...and I didn't say anything about the Democratic Committee...ND was approached by key members of your Party and
was asked to "carry their ticket"...I know you will dispute this but those operatives in your Party are no different than any other in their
"pre-screening" of candidates....except for the local CP Committee, where literally a few decide who they want, when they want and
don't even bother with the facade of interviews and full Committee involvement, as other Parties do. I also do not dispute that any
candidates interested in your Party's endorsement will be subject to a full Committee vote...all I'm saying is that ND has already
told those who spoke with her that she won't run on your Party's line again...so they already know she will not be submitting a letter
of interest, or be interviewed.

It's not strange when you consider that the Board must be elected by a FULL Committee vote...so this is the Committee's only
purpose...to re-elect themselves - lol.

OMG!!!!

So these few people run the entire local con party? To think that this is even allowed is bizarre. I'm a registered blank and have never been a part of inner workings of these parties.

Do all parties do it the same?

What's the purpose of a 'full committee'?
