The city is the people. Downtown is only a teeny fraction of the whole city. What has metroplex and the dems done for the the people???? What have they done to the property and school tax bills????? What have they done with trash collection????? What have they done with vital services????? What have they done to the crime rate?????? What have they done to the number of vacant houses in the city???? What have they done to the property values of city homeowners???????
Truth is, the only people thriving in Schenectady are the lowlifes who know how to play the welfare system and the lowlifes who take advantage of the Metroplex sham. Both groups have one thing in common - they could care less that the middle class has to support them.
Mr.Birch did a nice thing-----HIMSELF.....he owns a business----HIMSELF,,,,,and he gave away food----HIMSELF......that is just how personal it is.....and the government couldn't come close to giving people the needed 'kick in the a**' or 'pat on the back' or whatever it is a person REALLY needs..... I'm sure Mr.Birch's establishment was MORE than just food....kudos to him....but it is his PERSONAL DOING....that just happened to occur at his PERSONAL OWNED BUSINESS.....
it's a dirty rotten sham what the government does,,,,, that we ask them to do and then allow it to occur...institutions create zombies
...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......
The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
STOP BEING GOOD DEMOCRATS---STOP BEING GOOD REPUBLICANS--START BEING GOOD AMERICANS

"The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money," Margaret Thacher.
Or in this case your own money. The free dinner at Saw Mill is now history. The feasting by millionaires on Metrograft largess continues unabated. Soon, they will be requesting another increase in the Metrograft debt ceiling.
I had never heard of the Saw Mill Tavern until this story came about. Does anybody know if there is a place to get their normal menu on-line to check out what they have to offer, and for what price, before heading down there?

Thank you to Price Chopper, Pereca's and Mt Pleasant Bakery who supported feeding the hungry for years. Of course Metrograft/DEM favorites Villa, Bombers and Proctor's did nothing to support this worthy cause. They only have a tin cup out for themselves. If it benefits me-it ain't free!
