somewhere on this forum we had a conversation about police officers having the ability to act as judges at the carside as to assist in the clogging
at the courts....does this sound familiar to anyone???? I tried to find it....I think it has to do with State police more than locals.....

Never heard of that, although I heard that some states wanted to have judges on sight at checkpoints to sign warrants in order to give blood tests at the scene. This was wanted because many suspected DUI's refuse to take a field sobriety test. Checkpoints in themselves are unconstitutional as it allows cops to pull you over without probable cause or suspicion, giving them power of a court is way out of line.

Quoted from Tommy
Yeah, well welcome to Bush's "Patriot Act", which must have taken a literal ARMY of lawyers many months to write, that gives the government almost unlimited powers.

That piece of SH*T piece of legislation, was NOT drafted in three weeks after 9/11.
Do you not know how long it takes to draft a even a single law? It was written long before even his inauguration.
How completely GULLABLE are people?
Did that moron not think that, that particular piece of legislation would not be handed down to the next administration?

Once you give somebody that level of power, without any any fear of repercussions, because it's written into the law, (it's against the law to even investigate) it,
You can't really expect them to give those powers  up.
It's now, not even legal to investigate such transgressions, for fear of arrest, no matter how strong your case is.
Welcome to America.

While I'm at it why the hell do you think Obama, has any more ethics than Reagan, and Nixon?
Reagan.
Reagan was a little more than just another glorified alzheimer's riddled sock puppet, that could surprisingly still read off of cue cards, and that's by testament from his own family.

To quote George W. Bush, "A dictatorship is just fine, just long as I'm the one doing the dictating."

Guess what douche nozzle, you wouldn't know a "patriot" , if one of them bit you in the a**.
You, Cheney, and Douche Limbaugh are all draft dodgers.

I don't whether to laugh or cry, probably cry, when these teabag dupes take to the the streets, and complain about compliance to the 14th amendment, because our "founding fathers" said it should be so.

Guess what, you loons, that amendment was written in 1868, a very long time after all our "founding fathers were all dead.

So tommy, it appears that you area very disgruntled American. And it appears that you have been since the 70's, since your post refers back to Nixon.

I'm almost afraid to ask, but exactly what administration did get your stamp of approval? Or are we in agreement that there was none better than the other??
just askin

She didn't have any guns outside her car she was arrested for taking pictures of a helicopter outside the base on public property from the other article. That's the police version that you posted, remember there are 2 sides to every story.

What happens when 'unstable' people believe the  Right Wings on  Fox News:

~This wasn’t the first time Ms. Genovese was observed taking pictures of the base, according to the sheriff’s department. When Deputy Sheriff Robert Carlock arrived at the scene Thursday night, he was told by members of the Air National Guard that she had been warned for several weeks to stay off of the airport property.
She had reportedly been seen several times taking pictures along the perimeter of the base. An off-duty Southampton Town Police officer recognized Ms. Genovese when she returned to the base Thursday night

~Nancy Genovese was convinced that the “dark forces” at the airbase right in her own backyard were busy setting up a concentration camp that she and her community would be herded into in the near future.

Maybe she's an anti war nut or terrorist plotting an attack on the base who knows, but until she does something wrong she has the freedom the same as we do to take pictures from public property. There's too many of our rights being infringed on in the name of protecting us from ourselves. Abolish the Patriot Act.

everyone is 'unstable'....that's what judges/jurys are for.....commit something and you get to go through the system...we cant just
run around hiding and worrying about this Jackwagon and that Jackwagon.....because even without the guns she's unstable and would
do something else.....anyone can want a law based on fear

More genius from the AAS degrees in law enforcement:

Do you notice how when you read these, the charges are almost "mysterious" and they don't give mnany details if any at all, unlike when a citizen is arrested rather than one of these uber-citizens do their misdeeds. Now these are my favs:

http://www.theindychannel.com/news/24583504/detail.html       SAME THING HAPPENED HERE AND WILL COST THE COUNTY TAXPAYERS THOUSANDS! WHO THE HELL RUNS OVER MOTORCYCLISTS? WHAT KIND OF DRIVER DO YOU HAVE TO BE? YOU HAVE TO BE ONE WHO ISN'T PAYING ATTENTION.

It seems from both accounts she didn't break any laws. She wasn't on airport property, was on the perimeter. Her guns legal. She has a right to take pictures.

if something had happened the coin would be flipped by the fearmongers...."SOMEONE should have done something. SOMEONE do something. I'm
afraid. Why do we pay police officers?"...........we gave up 'the spirit' to some fearmongers....shame shame shame......giving up the spirit comes
before giving up guns.....
