your fun retirement is your business....since when did retirement become an entitlement.....that is the WRONG use of a senior center on the taxpayers backs.....if there needs to be a senior center then the seniors can pay for it in their dues...retired or not....it just means seniors want to hang with their like minded friends...fine...that's great....go ahead...make a club and call it your own.....someday soon maybe I will....what I dont get is that we need specialized senior centers at all.....join the Y with your friends and make a club......I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR RETIRED HAPPINESS have fund raisers like the kids do for sports if you didn't save enough to pay for your trip to the casino.....geez....
now for debilitated seniors who are too old to manuever society,,,,that's a different egg all together..... |

I would bet the scenario will look like this--DM out but will run for Clerk-DeGeorgio rides in on his white horse AGAIN with Molly on his arm. The seniors, smart and clueless, have Molly back and in November seniors vote against DM and for DeGeorgio who has made it clear that he is running for Town Clerk and now he has brought back Molly.
Seniors continue planning trips, Jack Shiely, Louise somebody and Lois somebody else do the planning get a free trip DeGeorgio has no input because he doesn't care what they do as long as they aren't bothering him and the real needs of the seniors go unnoticed.
Are you people nuts? |

ROTTERDAM Board at odds over senior center post BY JUSTIN MASON Gazette Reporter
Supervisor Frank Del Gallo declined to reconsider his dismissal of project coordinator Diane Marco from the Rotterdam Senior Center, despite hearing a number of impassioned pleas from residents on Wednesday. Del Gallo said that Marco will finish work with the town at the end of February. But a resolution to tap Marco’s predecessor, John De-Georgio, as her replacement failed Wednesday, meaning there will be no one to oversee the senior center as of next week. ...................>>>>...............>>>>................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r01102&AppName=1

, last week was given two weeks’ notice that she’s being dismissed, sparking outrage among a number of the town residents.
A small number of town residents. In the grand scheme of the Rotterdam residents daily lives - NOBODY CARES WHO HEADS THE SENIOR CENTER. Nobody cares how the microwave at the Brass Rail gets cleaned. What-a-Joke. |

Rotterdam has 2 years worth of ALS taxpayer money in an amount ranging in the hundreds of thousands that is unaccounted for, yet we are talking about Senior Center bickering? How does anybody take this town serious? Does anybody know how to prioritize what are important issues? What-a-Joke. |

And a few clueless sheeple demand that DM keeps her third public salary. They can't pay their taxes but this is a priority? The sky will fall in on March 1st. |

The people of Rotterdam have gotten more than their money's worth with Ms. Marco working at the senior center. Can't say that for the supervisor and deputy supervisor. |

Agree on the Deputy Supervisor. As far as FDG since he's taking no salary-he's worth every penny. DEMS keep fighting over scrapes the lower end of the trough. Pass the popcorn this is better than Lion King. It shows your true colors and it ain't no rainbow-one color green. |

Seeee this the problem do stupid sh!t no one would spend money to go to court for and continue to violate rules and laws...GREAT This is why everyone was shocked that salamone kid sued the town who in their right mind would spend the money to do that? EIther salamone was smart or a psycho, maybe both.,... but at the end of the day DM should sue |
