SCHENECTADY
City Hall to empty out after Stratton’s exit

BY KATHLEEN MOORE Gazette Reporter

Mayor Brian U. Stratton’s right-hand woman has postponed her plans for retirement in the wake of Stratton’s announcement that he will leave offi ce next month.
Director of Operations Sharon Jordan said she can’t leave now.
“It wouldn’t be good for Brian and I to leave at the same time,” she said. She will stay to smooth the transition to the interim mayor — whoever that may be. But then, she said, she’s heading out the door. Also leaving is Director of Administration John Paolino and the city’s top attorney, Corporation Counsel L. John Van Norden.
That means that even if a Democrat wins the election this fall, he or she will have to make immediate decisions to fi ll the most important positions in City Hall. ......................>>>>...............>>>>.................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r00101&AppName=1

What a loss to the City-NOT. Mobile has it right. Sharon Jordan has to stay on for what? She did to the City what she did to SMHA. Give Gary McCarthy a chance to bring in his crew. Sharon here's your hat-what's your hurry?

Sharon Jordan is now delaying her departure to really finish screwing the taxpayers. The City Attorney, who is as responsive as the fleeing Mayor, will not leave until December. Huh? He also has unfinished business-lol. There are more DEMS fleeing than lifeboat capacity. Just not soon enough.

The Mayor is fleeing on a huge yacht while the sheeple are trying to deal with his "accomplishments" while bailing their sinking rowboats. In January, all the useless DEM stooges can be dumped.

They're probably looking to "leave in December" so they decide if they want to work under whoever would be elected in a special election in November.

Partially. I believe the better reason the attorney is staying is to determine whether or not he (and many others) can get away with the free medical benefits for life Stratton promised them. I'm sure there will be plenty of hours spent on the 'legality' of these deals and there are many! Free City vehicles, free cell phones, pension padding, illegal overtime, medical benefits for life, etc....etc....

Before the rats leave the sinking ship, they're going make sure that they take all they can - legal or not!

They are following the lead of glorious leader Stratton. Captain of the SS Schenectady. He is staying on "the job" until mid-March when his canal gig starts. God forbid he takes a couple of weeks off the public dole. This way he can cash out all accumulated sick/vacation time and get a huge check for screwing the taxpayers.

Then he lies to the press that he is "still working on police consolidation." What a crock. That is going nowhere fast. It's an excuse to stay on the public gravy train. No one cares about the will of the people. A total failure who will be remember for his illegal pension padding and double taxing garbage collection.

Just because something is legal doesn't make it right and just because something is wrong doesn't make it illegal.....

and this is the lingo our elected officials use to move us along......BRING LATIN BACK TO THE PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM.....

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Gee, maybe with the openings available, meaning on the council, maybe DV will run for city council   (hahaha)

Oh wait, for some reason DV refuses to move into the city that he claims is so wonderful.  Wonder why?

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
