Well, we tried that with 80% of a trillion.. The stimulus bill.. how's THAT working for you BOX?

Stimulus???  Tbird??? Do you mean the George Worst Bush Stimulus??? THAT STIMULUS???  How is that Stimulus working for me???

Are you talking about the Febuary of 2008 (1 year before Obama was sworn in)  Economic Stimulus Act of 2008  that was supposed to  providing for several kinds of economic stimuli intended to boost the United States economy in 2008 and to avert a recession, or ameliorate economic conditions?
Is that the Stimulus bill you mean TBIRD??? The BUSH Stimulus???

Once started, the Bush Economic Meltdown took the economy so low that even all the dollars added by G.WorstBush and Obama couldn't stop the meltdown.  Two wars, a recession and tax cuts for the richest Americans did so much damage even GOD would have a problem fixing this one.

As far as both the Bush & Obama stimulus... With out them the USA would be in bankruptcy.  They sucked but both were necessary.

Obama's Stimulus Bill Passes the House With No GOP Support
No Republicans Voted for the Bill -- and Some Democrats Voted Against It

By MARK MOONEY
Jan. 28, 2009

The House has approved President Barack Obama's economic stimulus plan, but the victory came without any of the Republican support that Obama hoped for.

The $819 billion stimulus bill passed the House 244 to 188, but not a single Republican voted for it. Eleven Democrats broke with their party and voted against the stimulus.

So I guess what Shadow is saying is that when G Worst Bush put forth a stimulus bill, it was bipartisan and a GOOD IDEA.
When the economy continued to deteriorate, Housing foreclosures, jobs lost... When the George Worst Bush Economic Meltdown continued under Obama... the Stimulus was a bad idea and no Republicans voted for a plan that a year earlier was a good Republican idea.

IMO, with out  both the stimulus, the USA today would be bankrupt... and closed for business.

We can blame Bush for TARP which I was also against. I was for letting the greedy wall street firms and insurance companies that were involved in shady schemes go bankrupt as they didn't deserve a bailout period.

The Tarp should have been handled better...Lets blame Obama.
But Shadow, who do we blame for the Failed Economy??? For the Iraq war??? The IMAGINARY WMD'S?  The unarmored Humvees?  Disbanding the Iraqi army??? The bogus elections???  The Lack of a Plan once the Iraqi army was defeated???  The crimes committed by Halaburton???  The "mission accomplished"BS???  The millions of dollars that "disappeared" in Iraq??? The 4400+American lives needlessly lost???

Should we blame the TARP on Obama, but not blame Bushy for his crimes???  It seems Conservatives on this board are still blaming Clinton and Carter, but have very few words against the Worst President in US History.

There are so many people to blame and so many administrations to blame that I could spend the rest of my life writing about them. The position that the USA is in right now has taken many many years to create and the politicians of both parties are trying to blame the other party for the sole purpose of being elected to office in order to gain power and control.

As I just posted... Conservatives will hammer Obama for the TARP! (and just about everything else)

But when it comes to the George Worst Bush Economic Meltdown... Ummm, it's sorta... ahhhh both parties fault... not Georgies fault.
The Iraq war...not anyone's fault... Certainly not GW Bush's fault.... It's complicated... ummmm Georgie meant well Pathetic!

It's laughable.

I recently spoke to an Egyptian woman doctor f rom Schenectady.  Very traditional Muslim..She had many good things to say about wearing a burka in that environment.  Like a habit for a nun.  I don't believe the Muslim Brotherhood is as radicalized as is being reported by some entities like the Jewish Federation.

Egypt is not Obama's to handle... The fate of Egypt is up to the Egyptians, and none of our business.

TARP has necessary to avoid a meltdown, the BS "shovel ready" project part of the stimulus was not. It was just big government running amok.

Box, unlike you, who gets instructions from the DNC before you take a dump, I have little use for either political party.
I have core beliefs and don't feel I need to pick sides like a football game.

I read Thomas Friedman today saying "several hundred thousand Egyptians in Tahrir Square reacted to Mubarak’s speech by waving their shoes"

How come when violent, leftist Islamic throwbacks who want an Islamic, anti-American state rally against a peacemaking leader they can count several hundred thousand, but when conservatives rally in Washington (peacefully I might add) they say there was 30,000 or 50,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????????????????

Pay attention Graham...
The answer to your question:

BECAUSE THERE WERE ONLY 30,000 to 50,000 CONSERVATIVES  in DC!

You and Obama should come and join reality.  This isn't some theoretical revolution that is discussed in some college classroom.  This has real life and death consequences.  Israel is our greatest ally in the region, and the treaty between Israel and Egypt could be in jeopardy.  We have given billions in aid to these nations to keep a relative peace in the region, and you think that a Muslim theocracy in Egypt along with Iran won't impact American interests?  Globalization is a reality, the fact still remains that America and the rest of the world get a lot of oil from that region.  Oil is the life blood of developed and developing nations; a disturbance in the flow of oil would have a profound impact on prices and lives.
