You choose to be a negative person --- I am choosing to be a positive person.   I am not going to change for you or any of the other nitwits ... and I am certainly not going to apologize for being positive either.

Oh -- and I am very much a realist.    I am an optimist and a realist.

YOu claim to be a realist, so how come you REFUSE to admit that your dem buddy team making the financially struggling homeowners pay the taxes of the millionaires downtown?????????

Explain HOW ANYONE can be an optimist when then the financially struggling homeowners are forced to make choices between paying for medicine and paying their heat bill - because YOUR DEM BUDDIES have forced these homeowners to pay the taxes of the millinoaires?????????????????

Answer that DV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    Explain how anyone's life is full of optimism when there is a fancy theater in the city but they can't afford to go to a show, and when they have bee FORCED to pay for a bakery, and a gin mill, etc. etc. but they can't afford to replace their aging furnace.  Is THAT what YOU call optimism??????????

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

you called me an agist for being a realist.......interesting....

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

No -- I was teasing you because you said that I was too old to be doing something.

How does this moron Death Ray give away never ending tax exemptions? There has to an end date or what good is it? Then on top of that interest free loans! A fantasy world for the connected crony DEM capitalists. No wonder they think "All is well!" Meanwhile, City median home prices have tanked to a pathetic $107,500. Lowest in the Capital Region by tens of thousands. The worst Mayor in history and DEM rubber stamps can't even afford basic police and fire protection.

More City property owners need to appeal their assessments to court. In any other jurisdiction assessments would be lowered 20% across the board to reflect crashing resale realities. Not Schenectady. They have to maintain the phony inflated figures taken at the height of the housing bubble because they refuse to budget. The City DEMS are fiscally incompetent morons. None of them could run a lemonade stand.

Where do all of the businesses owners who received the 'tax exempt' status live? In the city?

ROTFLMAO!! Death Ray/Landslide both live in Nisky. And now even Mercury Morris has fled the Stockade for palatial digs in Rotterdam. The free fall continues.

Why would these businessowners or elected (pre-selected) officials live in the City? Kinda' like DV being an optimist eh? It's easy to be happy and cheerlead for a City you have no vested interest in.

Come on, they don't live here, they don't pay City or school taxes, their businesses are tax exempt AND receive free City police/fire/plowing/lighting services. I could be a hell of an optimist too if I didn't have to pay triple in City taxes!

Thank goodness Proctors can now have four servers at their new coffee shop, I mean I'm paying all their salaries, not DV, Savage or Mega-Death Ray. Nice to see my money being flushed again.....

Right The biggest problem down there is the line at the coffee house? Not the fact that Key Bank is off the tax roll. Not the fact that $120,000 in rent will have to be made up by County taxpayers. Not the fact that Mercury Morris/Proctor's/OSM/Muddy Cup-Catering Hall militantly refuses to pay ANY PILOT. Not the fact that Mercury Morris is now shaking down Glenville residents for pathetic OSM "news". Sooner of later someone must address these permanent taxpayer ripoffs.
