I was thinking you were just looking at it for the Macejka name.  Did you also go far enough to read what the notice of the race in District 1 was?  I figured there hadn't been one there in years, so I decided to check it out.  For the Independence line, a former mayor of Schenectady and (then) current Metroplex Authority Board Member was going to battle it out with the sitting Republican majority leader (is it possible there was once a Republican elected in District 1 and the Republicans were at the head of the County?  Doesn't seem so... anyway...)

The Democrat was already holding the OK's from 2 other parties that the Republican was going for a write in, on the Conservative and Independence lines...

The two battling it out? Karen Johnson and Nicki DiLeva

I guess we know who won.  Have any other parties run for this office since?

I remember that very heated Democrat Primary with Macejka/Leon/Claughsey quite well...Macejka and Claughsey won but both lost the
General. I also noticed that DiLeva, unlike the Democrats, did not seek the oxymoron endorsements of both the Conservative and
Working Families/Liberal lines...she refused to pursue the Working Families line in her election to the Town Board too...much to the
disappointment of the Kratz...and certainly would have shunned the Liberal line as well if it hadn't already evaporated.

Are you saying that ND has changed her stripes now? Did she accept the dem endorsement in the last election? How about the con endorsement?
She was a rep, then she was a con, then endorsed by dems...........another HV?

Her stripes have always been the same...she is an enrolled Conservative who is and always was conservative. She didn't need the
Conservative endorsement/authorization because she is an enrolled member of the Party.

She accepted the Democrat endorsement because she wanted to run for the right reasons and didn't think it mattered which major
Party line on which her name appeared. It would be one thing if she were a liberal Demokrat endorsed by the CP...which we all know
is usually the case with the current crop of "leaders" in this County..but that was not the case.

ND and HV are like night and day...ND is a leader...HV is a follower...HV always went along with whichever Party had the
majority...ND never listens to the Kratz...or any other Party hack...that's why she has succeeded in forging her own majority
across Party lines...and it has certainly been to the benefit of our residents...preventing damages that would otherwise have
been inflicted by the devastating duo of FDG and BG.

Also unlike HV, ND was never enrolled Demokrat.

ND is just another politician in a long line of Schenectady County political opportunist.  She needs to answer question of what common beliefs she shared with her registered party as well as the Republican and Democrat parties which endorsements she accepted for two separate political offices.  As we know, these major parties don't grant endorsement unless you bend in their direction on certain issues(or like gadfly says "compromise").  What are you saying Gadfly, they endoresed her because they liked her personality?

With her most recent endorsement by the Democrat party, she will be considered an endorsed candidate of queen Savage.  Not good.IMO

When she gets in she will be the chief's biggest puppet in history!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

So I guess you would say the same about Angelo S.  You know, he switch parties and cross endorsements for "all the right reasons".
