Arrests made in pair of burglaries SCHENECTADY — City police have made arrests in two burglaries. William A. Lowell, 49, of Close Street, Terry A. Wesch, 35, and Thomas McMullen, 47, each face one count of second-degree burglary, a felony. They were charged in connection with a burglary on Close Street sometime between Nov. 5 and Dec. 5, authorities said. Lowell also faces one count each of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and second-degree forgery. Lowell is accused of possessing a forged check Dec. 18 at the Price Chopper on Eastern Parkway, according to papers filed in court. He is also accused of possessing a box of checks that didn’t belong to him. Wesch faces the same forgery and forged instrument charges as Lowell but is also charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, accused of selling a class ring Jan. 2 at a shop on State Street, according to papers. McMullen was also charged in connection with a Jan. 19 burglary on Franklin Street. He was charged with misdemeanor criminal possession of stolen property and felony burglary.
Forged prescriptions lead to charges SCHENECTADY — A Johnstown woman was arrested Sunday, accused of possessing forged prescriptions, authorities said. Kellie L. Coe, 28, of Chase Street, was charged with three counts each of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, a felony, and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a misdemeanor. Coe is accused of possessing the forged prescriptions Sunday afternoon at the Rite Aid on State Street, according to papers filed in court. The prescriptions were written for two individuals and for hydrocodone, Percocet and another drug, according to papers.
Man accused of punching woman SCHENECTADY — A city man faces a felony charge for allegedly punching a woman in the face, authorities said. Dale Pisarczyk, 52, of William Street, was charged Feb. 10 with second-degree assault, a felony. Pisarczyk is accused of punching the woman at an address on William Street, causing a nasal bone fracture and a black eye. The woman received medical treatment at Albany Memorial Hospital, according to papers filed in court.
Assault alleged in domestic case SCHENECTADY — A city man faces a felony assault count, accused of hitting a woman repeatedly in the head with a blunt object, authorities said. Rasheem Mayo, 25, of 332 Summit Ave., was charged Tuesday with one count of second-degree assault, a felony, along with fourthdegree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor. Mayo is accused of hitting the woman early Tuesday at an address on Backus Street. The woman suffered pain and swelling to her forehead and face, according to court papers. He is also accused of breaking a CD player belonging to the woman, described as Mayo’s ex-girlfriend.
Olean Street burglary alleged SCHENECTADY — A woman stands accused of breaking into a residence and taking items, authorities said. Donna Wilsey, 48, of Olean Street, was charged Tuesday with one count of second-degree burglary, a felony, along with petty larceny, a misdemeanor. Wilsey is accused of breaking into another Olean Street residence Tuesday evening and taking designer clothing and food, according to papers filed in court.
Pair charged with heroin deals SCHENECTADY — Two city residents face charges of possessing heroin, authorities said. Michael Garry, 30, and Tishona Sykes, 42, both of 3 Madison St., were arrested Tuesday, according to papers filed in court. Garry faces three counts each of third-degree criminal possession and sale of a controlled substance, accused of possessing and selling heroin in December and January in Schenectady. Sykes faces one count each of third-degree criminal possession and sale of a controlled substance, accused of possessing and selling heroin Dec. 20 at 3 Madison St., according to papers. Sykes also faces one count of obstructing governmental administration, accused of lying to police about Garry’s whereabouts Tuesday morning, saying he wasn’t in the apartment, when he was there. In an unrelated case, Sykes was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, accused of possessing a forged and cashed business/payroll check at the Altamont Avenue Price Chopper on May 19, 2011, according to papers. Burglary, brawling allegations leveled SCHENECTADY — A city man broke into a woman’s apartment and fought with her, authorities said. Maximo Serrano, 30, of Steinmetz Homes, faces one count of second-degree burglary, a felony, along with petty larceny and fourth-degree criminal mischief, misdemeanors. Serrano is accused of breaking into the woman’s apartment Aug. 22 and taking her cellphone so she couldn’t call police. He is also accused of fighting with her, causing scrapes and bruises, according to papers fi led in court. Multiple felonies in alleged spree SCHENECTADY — A city teen faces burglary and robbery counts, accused of breaking into two rooms at Union College and snatching a woman’s purse on Broadway, authorities said. Isiah J. Harrison, 17, of 102 Jay St., was arrested Friday and charged with two counts of second-degree burglary as well as one count each of second-degree robbery and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, felonies. Harrison is accused of breaking into two rooms at Union College’s Fox Hall on Feb. 4 and taking items, according to papers filed in court. He is also accused of possessing a stolen credit card early that morning at the SEFCU on State Street. On Feb. 9, Harrison is accused of snatching the woman’s purse near 1616 Broadway, assisted by another person. Then, on Friday, Harrison is accused of possessing a stolen laptop at his residence on Jay Street.
Burglary charged in B’way incidents SCHENECTADY — Two breakins at a Broadway business have resulted in felony charges against a city man, authorities said. Charles Coleman, 40, of 234 Front St., was arrested Friday, charged with two counts of thirddegree burglary and one count of fourth-degree grand larceny, both felonies. Coleman is accused of breaking into Utech Products, 135 Broadway, twice the night of Feb. 16-17, according to papers filed in court. Once inside, he is accused of stealing computers he could later sell for crack cocaine, according to papers. He is also accused of taking a safe.
Burglary, weapon charges face man SCHENECTADY — A man is accused of breaking into an Albany Street apartment, putting a kitchen knife to a woman’s throat and stealing items last week, authorities said. Luther Landy, 46, of Emmett Street, was charged Friday with one count each of fi rst-degree burglary and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies. Landy is accused of breaking into the apartment through a front window, putting the knife to the woman’s throat, taking meet from her freezer and fl eeing, according to papers filed in court. Landy is also accused of breaking several items and later possessing crack cocaine while being booked at the Schenectady
Police Department. Taser subdues burglary suspect SCHENECTADY — City police said they used a Taser to subdue a burglary suspect at a Park Place apartment Sunday. Kevin Wild, 24, of Park Place, was charged Sunday with one count each of second-degree burglary and third-degree criminal mischief, both felonies, as well as resisting arrest, a misdemeanor. Wild is accused of breaking into the Park Place apartment around 10:30 p.m. Sunday, damaging a cellar door and a ceramic piggy bank, according to papers filed in court. Police arrived, but Wild refused to follow commands to put his hands behind his back. Officers used the Taser after a struggle and after Wild resisted being handcuffed, according to papers.
Officers injured making arrest SCHENECTADY — Two officers suffered injuries last week while making an arrest at a Jefferson Street address. Jason S. Clemens, 42, of Jefferson Street, was charged as a result with two counts of second-degree assault, felonies, along with obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest, misdemeanors. Clemens is accused of fi ghting with officers March 1 at his apartment, causing bruises to both officers, according to papers fi led in court. Clemens allegedly laid down on his bed and refused to get up for officers. Papers do not indicate why officers were initially at the apartment.
Theft of auto alleged in incident SCHENECTADY — A city man stands accused of stealing another man’s car, authorities said. Joshua Nesmith, 22, of Brandywine Avenue, was charged Monday with one count each of third-degree robbery and third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, felonies. Nesmith is accused of hitting the car owner before taking the vehicle from the Stewart’s Shop on State Street just after 6:30 a.m. Monday, according to papers filed in court. Nesmith is accused of possessing the vehicle less than 10 minutes later at State and Furman streets, where he was arrested, according to papers.
Protection order violation charged SCHENECTADY — A city man faces felony charges for breaking into his mother’s home and fi ghting with her in violation of an order of protection, authorities said. Shane C. Bloom, 38, of Brandywine Avenue, was charged with second-degree burglary and aggravated criminal contempt, both felonies. Bloom is accused of breaking into the Austin Place home March 1, then fighting with his parents and brother, in violation of a stay-away order of protection, according to papers fi led in court. Bloom also faces one count of third-degree assault, a misdemeanor, along with two counts of violation harassment.
Burglary charged in city break-in SCHENECTADY — A September burglary has led to an arrest of a Burnt Hills man, authorities said. Deon E. Lawrence, 36, of Saratoga Road was arrested Feb. 29 and charged with second-degree burglary, along with third-degree grand larceny and third-degree criminal mischief, felonies. Lawrence is accused of breaking into a Craig Street home Sept. 8 and taking musical equipment and a computer, all valued at more than $6,600, according to papers fi led in court.
Weapon charge follows stop SCHENECTADY — A Monday evening traffic stop led to the arrest of a man on a weapons charge, authorities said. Michael J. Ivery, 20, of James Street, was charged with one count of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, along with second-degree criminal contempt and fourth-degree criminal mischief, misdemeanors. Ivery is accused of possessing a loaded Smith & Wesson revolver in a black duffle bag in a car after a traffic stop on Albany Street. Ivery was stopped just after 5:30 p.m. for passing a red light, authorities said. He is accused of possessing the gun in violation of an order of protection, according to papers. The mischief count is on allegations that Ivery broke a window during a domestic dispute in November, according to papers.
Check possession charged to man SCHENECTADY — A city man faces a felony, accused of cashing a forged payroll check at a local Price Chopper, authorities said. Edward Herbert, 64, of Union Street, was charged Tuesday with one count of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, a felony. Herbert is accused of cashing the forged payroll check Jan. 3, 2011, at the Altamont Avenue Price Chopper in Rotterdam, according to papers filed in court.
Two sustain stab wounds in fight SCHENECTADY — Two people were stabbed following a large fi ght Wednesday evening in the area of 1638 Carrie St. The fracas involving about 30 people broke out about 6 p.m., according to police spokesman Sgt. Matthew Dearing. The two people injured were transported to Ellis Hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. Two people were arrested on charges related to the brawl but not the stabbings, Dearing said. Police were still interviewing witnesses and people in the area later Wednesday. There was no word as to what led to the fight.

Man allegedly had pound of pot SCHENECTADY — A Clifton Park man faces a felony marijuana charge for possessing more than a pound of the substance Monday, police said. Wale M. Kocer, 22, of Woodin Road, was charged with one count of second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a felony. Kocer is accused of possessing 32 sandwich bags and 12 Ziploc bags of marijuana at a State Street address just after 5 p.m. Monday. The marijuana weighed more than a pound, according to papers fi led in court.
Suspect charged in equipment theft SCHENECTADY — A Delanson man stands accused of taking more than $1,000 in equipment from a collision repair shop, authorities said. Aurelio Pagan, 37, of Main Street, was charged Wednesday with one count of fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony. Pagan is accused of taking a beltmounted respirator valued at about $1,350 from Collision Experts on State Street in January, according to papers fi led in court.
Woman accused of leaving child alone SCHENECTADY — A city woman faces a child endangerment count, accused of leaving a 17-month-old child alone for 45 minutes last month, authorities said. Jennifer Etheredge, 26, of Crane Street, was charged this week with one count of endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor. She is accused of leaving the child alone on March 23 for 45 minutes, according to papers fi led in court. Etheredge also faces two counts of second-degree criminal contempt and one count of third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle for allegedly violating an order of protection and driving a car without the owner’s consent Wednesday, according to papers fi led in court.
Man charged with trying to ditch drugs SCHENECTADY — A man got himself in deeper trouble this week as he tried to get rid of drugs and is now facing a felony charge, authorities said. Justin Gage, 38, of 13 Banker Ave., Scotia, was arrested Tuesday after a traffic stop at State and South Church streets, according to papers filed in court. During the traffic stop, Gage took a small, clear bag of a white, powdery substance and threw it down a storm drain after pushing an offi cer, according to papers filed in court. The bag was recovered by police and its contents tested positive for cocaine, according to papers fi led in court. Gage was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and tampering with physical evidence, a felony. He also faces a count of resisting arrest, a misdemeanor.
Stop leads to drug, weapons charges SCHENECTADY — A traffic stop Thursday led to a man’s arrest on weapons and drug charges, authorities said. William F. Daley, 42, of 1833 Eastern Parkway, was pulled over at Liberty and Lafayette streets just after 10 a.m. Thursday, according to papers filed in court, and was found to be in possession of six oxycodone pills not prescribed to him. He was also found to have a blackjack and a billy club, weapons he is barred from possessing due to a prior felony conviction, according to the court papers. Daley was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, felonies, along with one count of seventhdegree criminal possession of a controlled substance and a violation of public health law.
Woman accused of domestic stabbing SCHENECTADY — A domestic dispute led to a woman stabbing a man with a kitchen knife, authorities said. Gloria M. George, 30, of 1039 Davis Terrace, was charged Sunday with second-degree assault, a felony, and second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor. She is accused of stabbing the man in the left side just before 5 a.m. Sunday. He was taken to Ellis Hospital for treatment, according to papers filed in court.
Officer injured in domestic dispute SCHENECTADY — A city man faces a felony charge for allegedly injuring an officer arresting him after a domestic dispute, authorities said. Roland B. Vuignier, 31, of 2517 Englewood Ave., was charged April 14 with second-degree assault, a felony, along with misdemeanor contempt, criminal mischief and obstructing governmental administration. He is accused of violating an order of protection by blocking a woman and her daughter from leaving the scene of a domestic dispute and then taking another woman’s cellphone and breaking it as she tried to call police. Vuignier is accused of fi ghting with police as they arrived, injuring Officer Christopher North’s foot, according to papers filed in court.
Man faces felony assault charge SCHENECTADY — A city man faces a top-level assault count for allegedly bashing another man, authorities said. Ephriam Feliciano, 51, of 842 Grant Ave., was charged Sunday with one count of fi rst-degree assault, a felony. He is accused of hitting another person in the head with an unknown blunt object that day, causing a 3-inch cut on the victim’s head and bleeding on the brain, according to papers filed in court. The victim was treated at Ellis Hospital.
Woman accused of posting bad check SCHENECTADY — A city woman stands accused of stealing more than $1,000 by depositing a bad check. Patricia Daniels, 42, of 1209 Congress St., was charged Wednesday with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony. She is accused of depositing the bad check at Trustco Bank in February, taking a total of $1,067, according to papers fi led in court.
Police say man had forged checks SCHENECTADY — A city man has been charged with possessing forged checks. Charles W. Miller, 19, of 1009 Howard St., was arrested Monday and charged with second-degree forgery and three counts of fi fthdegree criminal possession of stolen property, all misdemeanors, according to papers filed in court. He is accused of forging a signature on a check and then cashing the check March 6 at the Price Chopper on Eastern Parkway. He is also accused of possessing two other checks without the owner’s permission, according to papers fi led in court.
Student allegedly set fires in school SCHENECTADY — A student at Schenectady High School faces an attempted arson charge for allegedly setting two small fires in the school Thursday, authorities said. Cody J. Slingerland, 16, of Seneca Street, was charged with one count of second-degree attempted arson, a felony. He is accused of lighting a piece of paper on fire and throwing it into a girls’ bathroom while a girl was in the bathroom, according to papers filed in court. Slingerland is also accused of setting another fire in the boy’s bathroom, using a paper towel. That fi re was stomped out by a hall monitor, according to papers.
Man accused of cutting woman SCHENECTADY — A city man stands accused of using a knife to cut the side of a woman’s neck, authorities said. Ulysses Grevious, 44, of Moyston Street, was charged Wednesday with one count of second-degree assault, a felony. He is accused of cutting the side of the victim’s neck just after 8 p.m. at a Moyston Street residence, according to papers filed in court. Grevious is also accused of biting the victim’s right thumb, breaking the skin, and causing scratches and welts on the victim’s neck. The victim was treated at Ellis Hospital for her injuries, according to papers.
Woman allegedly had forged checks SCHENECTADY — A city woman passed forged payroll checks at the Niskayuna Price Chopper, authorities said. Jackie W. McGonigle, 28, of Craig Street, faces two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, felonies. She is accused of passing the forged checks in June 2011, according to papers filed in court.
Shotgun incident leads to charges SCHENECTADY — A man accused of threatening his girlfriend with a shotgun faces multiple charges, authorities said. Sevelle Graham, 23, of Main Street, was charged Monday with one count of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, along with second-degree unlawful imprisonment, criminal obstruction of breathing and second-degree menacing, all misdemeanors. Graham is accused of threatening a woman just before 4 a.m. Monday, displaying the shotgun and loading it. Graham is also accused of telling her “You think you can disrespect me? I’ll show you,” according to papers fi led in court. Graham has a prior criminal conviction, increasing the weapon charge to a felony. A second man, Alexander X. Turner, 19, of Swaggertown Road, Glenville, was also charged related to the incident, accused of lying to police, telling them he did not know where the shotgun was. After a police search and further questioning, Turner led officers to the basement and showed them the location of the shotgun, according to papers fi led in court. He faces one count of tampering with physical evidence, a felony.
Pair accused of house burglary SCHENECTADY — Two people face burglary charges, accused of breaking into a vacant Porter Street home this week, authorities said. Edwin I. Toro, 50, of Windsor Terrace, and a woman whose name is listed two different ways in paperwork were charged with thirddegree burglary, a felony. They are accused of breaking into the vacant home to look for tools, according to court papers.
Police: Woman hit man with figurine SCHENECTADY — A city woman faces a felony assault count, accused of throwing a ceramic angel figurine at her boyfriend, causing a small cut, authorities said. Anna Austin, 28, of O’Dell Street, was charged Monday with one count of second-degree assault, a felony. She is accused of throwing the figurine just after midnight Monday. Her boyfriend was treated by paramedics at the scene. Police: Tossed log draws felony charge SCHENECTADY — Damage to a car from a tossed log has resulted in a felony charge against a city man, authorities said. Samuel Gonzalez, 29, of Elder Street, was charged Monday with one count of third-degree criminal mischief, a felony. He is accused of throwing the log on Bradford Road Monday evening, causing an estimated $400 in damage to a car, according to papers fi led in court.
