there are many 'old time thinking dems' that are brushed aside by the 'new elite dems'. Now perhaps LD started this whole politicizing of this issue with her article in the paper.....but there just may be a bigger picture here. Perhaps it goes beyond the parks and recreation committee.......perhaps?

The names of Commission members is available at Town Hall --- as is the official schedule of meetings -- although I also mentioned the meeting day/time in a previous post.
Why would you make people leave their homes and drive to down hall to get an answer????????? You state you are the chairperson of a town government committe, and as it's spokes person you are obligated to the taxpayers of the town (doesn't matter whether it's an unpaid or a paid position), and you should be answering questions from the people. As the chairperson of a government committeee, you are obligated to be open about everything and if asked, you need to answer peoples questions.
So, all the meetings here, tell us who is on the committeee. It's pubic information and you can't keep it a secret
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
If a dog park is built in Rotterdam, it would be built with donations and the dog owners would have to get a permit to use it and would have to clean up the "souvenirs" left by their dogs.

The information is available at town hall. There is no legal statute that requires me to place the names of private citizens who serve on the commission on this website.
BTW -- You claim to be a resident of the city so I have no obligation to answer any questions from you.

Well we know that LD isn't on that list.

She isn't one of the nine appointed members of the Commission but she is a town resident and residents are allowed to attend any public meeting. At the last meeting, she was asked by the supervisor to be his representative to the commission --- as the supervisor and a number of other persons are EX OFFICIO members of the commission pursuant to the resolution passed by the Town Board. She is able to attend in that capacityand participate in commission discussions. Of course, only the nine appointed members are counted for purposes of determining a quorum and for purposes of any formal votes. Probably - 98% of our decisions are made by consensus rather than a formal roll call vote.

I'm asking the commissioner to post the dates, times and meeting place...and instead of just posting the info for the next meeting, you're telling me to go to Town Hall or search through hundreds posts?

what is the BIG DEAL! if they expand the parks commission if it is not political then what the hell is it. Why would someone want to come and volunteer their time and energy and not have a vote .Further more why is diane marco needed on the commission when she is coordinator of parks and recreation .
