Ellis Medicine in Schenectady is so confident of the quality of its coronary artery bypass surgery it will warranty the procedure for 90 days. Ellis announced the warranty at a news conference Thursday at the hospital, calling it an “innovative quality assurance initiative.” Ellis is teaming up with health insurers MVP and CDPHP to offer the warranty, with the three organizations sharing any costs associated with readmission of cardiac artery bypass surgery, also known as CABG. The warranty is the first of its kind in the Capital Region and mimics a program offered three years ago by Geisinger Health System in Pennsylvania, according to Ellis offi cials. “We have been recognized as a top 50 cardiovascular hospital, and we’re confident that our new quality initiatives will help us provide even better care,” said James W. Connolly, president and CEO of Ellis Medicine. “We are putting our money where our awards are.” ....................>>>>....................>>>>.................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r01201&AppName=1
Great! Maybe next time you can put some of this money in the City that you reside. $40,000 for the City....millions in a program with the other bogus non-profit MVP.
Schenectady has become the City of billowing hot air. Allowing a non-profit lable to many for-profit entities (Proctors and MVP come to mind). Allowing non-profits to profit and leaving the taxpayers in the wake of bankruptcy, Schenectady needs real leaders. The situation is getting worse and worse ....
BIIIIIIIIGGER PICTURE......competition for accredidation and National Healthcare blowing smoke up the public's a$$....they must get on the Atlas Shrugged railroad.......hurry hurry......ALLLLLLLL ABOARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......
The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
STOP BEING GOOD DEMOCRATS---STOP BEING GOOD REPUBLICANS--START BEING GOOD AMERICANS
Well, the millionaires downtown will be able to afford that, if offered, they'll be able to afford it thanks to the LOL team in Schenectady taking money out of the mouths of the taxpayers
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
