Then would you care to tell us, White Eagle bakery did not serve good products, they served GREAT products, EXCELLENT products, there stuff was on par with Villa Italia, although different products.  No where has there been hard rolls like White Eagle.   Their Jewish rye bread, people came from miles.   When we'd go to visit familiy or friends out of the area, different states, it was "please bring a couple loaves..."       I haven't had a crumb bun like theirs since they closed.

How many people will support a business when doing their, getting out of their car may result in them getting shot, propositioned, assaulted or robbed?    

Hey, I know the couple wanted to retire, but they had great employees and one of their sons knew how to do stuff.  But, people do not and did not want to go into a war zone

How about how the city has NOT cleared the sidewalks, like around veterans park downtown, by the bus stop in particular, nor on the downtown sidewalks where bus stops are.  Would anyone who claims Stratton is a great leader explain how disabled people and wheelchairs are supposed to go on the CITY OWNED sidewalks and get on and off buses?   Heck the city has not even shoveled where the curb cuts are!

I wonder if the Stratton supporters still believe that it's better to keep having peoples tax dollars be given out in 100% tax exemptions to the millionaires downtown while at the same time failing to provide an absolutely essential service in the neighborhoods.  Giving tax exemptions to the millionaires is not essential, but it IS essential, it should be of higher priority to spend tax dollars cleaning the streets to facilitate the free flow of ambulances and fire.

Well Stratton supporters?   Which choice is of higher priority?
1.  Giving out 100% tax exemptions to milllionaires downtown?
or
2.  Declareing a snow emergency at each snowstorm - AND TOWING the illegally parked cars -- thus pushing the snow back to the curb to widen the streets to provide the necessary room for an ambulance, and fire to get through.

MC1  the Mayor gives the tax breaks to those rich developers and in turn the developers give big contributions to the Mayors campaign the taxpayer doesn't even fit into the equation.

1.  The middle of the main streets are ok.  But everything else, it's snow piled in the parking lanes, piles in the middle of the road, etc, EXACTLY why Carl Olson is very concerned that it will turn to rock solid ice because the city has NOT pushed snow back to the curb....I trust you DID read the news?

2.  You didn't see Stratton on Thursday.  He was in Washington at the conference of mayors from Wednesday

The Conference of Mayors was from Wednesday, Jan 19th until the 21st. Highly doubt that Stratton would have missed the first day of a conference he was receiving an award at....just a thought.

Mayor SOS won an award for what? Most blatant illegal contracts to ripoff State taxpayers? Shipping solid waste the greatest distance from the source wasting gas and causing green house gases? Ignoring an exploding crime and gang problem while freezing new police hires?

"City crews are cleaning the snow from curb to curb", states the People's Gazetto. Where? These alleged reporters should take another look at Union Ave. Barely passable-with student cars submerged in snow banks, blocking a lane and a half. These cars should be ticketed and towed and Union Ave really cleared to the curb.

     This would generate much needed revenue. Naah, these DEM morons would rather ticket granny, whose eating cheese sandwiches to pay crushing City/School taxes. for not shoveling her sidewalk to their lofty standards. As if anyone uses a sidewalk.

DVR--your need to slam small hometown businesses is very telling.  You seem to have a beef with everyone who owns a business.  Might I remind you and Cicero for that matter that it is the small businesses who are the ones who help out locally with events and causes.  The big corporate offices don't give a crap about Schenectady/Rotterdam.  If the Dems really want to help out in the city turn toward the businesses in Mt. Pleasant and help them.  Stop trying to offer them deals to move out and go downtown.  Revitalize Crane Street.  Clean up the damn neighborhood.  You have some nerve criticizing those who stay on in the neighborhood and give jobs to those who live there.

the small local businesses are the ones that support local base ball and soccer etc.....kind of like not for profit churches help homeless.....as far as
