Call the mayor's office. Tell him that melting hard packed snow turning to slush turning to solid ice will result in damage to cars and that you intend to file a claim against the city for any damages that will result. And that this is will be the result of failure to declare a snow emergency, thus failure to push the snow back to the curb.
At this point, I DO believe that the graders are needed to scrape the existing areas of hard packed snow.
Follow it up with an e-mail and with a certified mail, return receipt letter in print.
One need not live within the city to file a claim to damage to cars. However, I believe that the law, as it relates to damage from pavement potholes, requires that you notify the municipality prior to driving through the pothole (duh)

The mayor's office phone number is 382-5000 Be sure to call. And if some assistant tries to tell you to call the service bureau, tell them NO, that the service bureau is not charged with declaring a snow emergency, that is the mayor's responsibility.
Oh, and not only is supposed get below zero in a few days, they're talking another even bigger storm Friday into Saturday! |

WHY? So they can ignore us? We are the peasants. They are the "kings!" Just as Democrapic Voice of Retardedness. |
| "While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat." |

Good luck getting him to pick up the phone or God forbid be at his post. His taxpayer paid for JEEP has trouble getting to work in a blizzard. How dare you assume he will talk to some resident? Absolute power corrupts absolutely. |

Good luck getting to actually talk to the mayor. During the curb fee fiasco I left three messages to talk to him he never called back. so I wrote a letter to the editor instead. |

We should all make a novena for Mayor SOS to finally get his State lob job. If we all pray hard enough maybe a miracle can occur. |

To save Schenectady -- Charter a few buses and moving vans .. and move the Nattering Nayboobs of Negativity to the mountains of Mexico or the deserts of Mongolia. |

We need a miracle everyday. End the 36 year death grip of fiscally incompetent DEMS on the City. Maybe Mayor SOS could work at the DMV? |

I took MC1 advice and called the Mayor's office. Guess what? He's not in. He cannot come to the right phone now. He's at a meeting-lol. Some DEM moron took my number and will get back to me. Meanwhile, the City streets are frozen over skating rinks. Totally impassible. Mayor SOS' luck has finally run out. Years of political lob hires and promoting incompetents has finally caught up with him. No one in charge-no one ever fired-political nit wits screwing up every department. Then they balance the budget off the clerks/secretaries backs who actually do work. |

Call the bureau of disservice. They have $1,000 /sq foot digs now so all will be well. |

Because of the high volume of calls the answering machine is now on. They don't even have the ability to answer the phone and lie to the public. Disgusting. Working together works! Your record tax dollar at work! Everyone has abandoned ship and turned the answering machine on. Leave your name and number and someone will get back to you next month. |
