SCHENECTADY -- City firefighters battled a stubborn blaze late Tuesday night that sent flames shooting 10 feet through the roof of a business amid a snowstorm.
Schenectady Fire Chief Robert Farstad said the department received a call at 10:51 p.m. reporting a fire at Gaelic Enterprises, an automotive/storage facility at 14 N. Jay St., near the intersection of Union Street. The structure was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived soon afterward.

SCHENECTADY-- The destructive nature of a fire to a large downtown storage facility Tuesday night may make it difficult for fire officials to ever determine the exact cause of the blaze, according to the fire chief.
"We don't see anything suspicious," said Fire Chief Robert Farstad Thursday about the fire at Gaelic Enterprises automotive and storage facility at 14 N. Jay St. "There is no reason to go any further."....................>>>>.............>>>>.................Read more: http://www.timesunion.com/loca.....39.php#ixzz1B0nSBpzB
1) Is the City footing the bill for this demolition too?
2) The firefighters just received a pay raise and they can't investigate further? What, is Farstad mad because his pension isn't as fluffy as it was a month ago? Even insurance companies do a better and more thorough job than this.
Any dead bodies? Never mind, it's Schenectady, it's only been 4 days... and it's not suspicious, it's just another Schenectady fire. Guess things are heating up downtown again, huh? A hot time downtown tonight!
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
