Do you think he even drives into the city? I don't.
Ya, he goes to see his pal Urban at least once a week. Saw him there recently. |

Continue the boycott of AM 1300 until Vandenburgh apologizes ... if he doesn't start writing the businesses that advertise on that station and tell them that you won't purchase their products or services unless they stop advertising on AM 1300 or until Vandenburgh apologizes. |

As a matter of fact, liked that Mayor Jennings was on his show on Friday. Albany residents calling in, thanking him for all he's done for the City. They also informed him of areas which needed help in the City (construction projects which needed to be completed). Mostly it was very nice to hear how well Albany did with plowing the street for its residents.
Can't imagine Stratton taking public questions like that. Think it would have sounded more like the Howard Stern show with all the expletives from the Schenectady taxpayers.

I am sure that Mayor Stratton would answer yours or any resident's questions at any venue. I don't think Vandenburgh would have the decency to offer Mayor Stratton an hour once a week to do that. |

Vandenburgh knock on Sch’dy unappreciated
I often listen to WGDJ talk radio on my ride in to work. Talk show host and station owner Paul Vandenburgh often demeans the city of Schenectady; the other day he was calling certain city officials and anyone who lives in Schenectady morons. I am a lifelong Schenectadian, as are many of my family and friends. I lived out of the area for a while and chose to come back “home.” I know that people associated with the radio station also have ties to Schenectady, were raised here and have family members living here. I wonder how they feel about being called morons.

He's a disgrace. He lacks the decency to even attend a news conference on the fatal fire and how it was mishandled by City officials. An hour talk show? ROTFLMAO! He is the worst Mayor in City history. He's only concern is getting a lob job and leaving ASAP. He won't even answer reporters or residents you think he would host a radio show? The failed boycott is an attempt to silence critics. |

Someone should ask DV to move to Schenectady --- and spend some time actually working to build it back up again. It is too easy for him to make endless compliments and shoot his mouth off about the cities and then drive home to the suburbs at the end of the day.
Seriously, we don't want him back. You keep him. And while we're at it, can Rotterdam become the County Seat? I'm sure EVERY taxpayer here would be more than happy to GIVE you all the properties and buildings. DSS (aka One Stop), the jail, the courthouse. Heck, I'd even give you guys City Hall and Stratton! Yes? |

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, DV, you SO do NOT know! Paul has said MANY MANY MANY times that he has wanted Stratton to come on the show, even just an occasional time, and NEVER NEVER NEVER has Stratton EVER accepted! And THAT is because Stratton does NOT want to hear the taxpayers complain!!!!!!!!!!! Why do YOU think that Stratton REFUSES to declare a snow emgency ???? !!!!! It's becuase he does NOT want to hear the people complain when they get towed, even through their own fault. Stratton has EVERY OPPORTUNITY to call into the show, but he NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER does. And it's because he avoids anything that will even remotely require him to answer to the truths of the city. Stratton does NOT want to answer why crime is going up at a time when spending on crime prevention is down while the millionaires are raking in the taxpayers bucks. Stratton will NOT want to answer why, in a city that has an over abdundance of EXISTING AVAILABLE housing, that he is choosing to rob the taxpayers and make them pay for addititional UNEEDED housing at the old Alco location. Etc ETc How come Peter Guidarelli (who may run for mayor) is PERFECTLY wiling to speak in public about the issues and Stratton hides????? How some your sweetie Susie Savage hides? Ditto Gillen?????? NONE, NOT ONE of those dems will ever face the taxpayers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gee, DV, tell us how come the city has not changed the format of their city council meeting to the format like Rotterdam where citizens can ask a question and get some feedback?????? Tell us DV, HOW COME the city council DEMS have cut the time that speakers may speak??????? DUH, DV, if you had a brain you would know that it's because the DEMS do NOT want to citizens to be able to speak about everything that concerns them. Your dems want to shut them up |

Mayor Stratton wouldn't be able to SPEAK to the constituent's questions unless Sharon Jordan was next to him writing out the answers. Or maybe Ed Kosiur as he was texting furiously at the Bellevue association meeting during that debate last October. Vandenburgh shouldn't waste his time on our city, it isn't newsworthy. |

He's speaking for himself. A regular kvetch in the Gazetto's idiotic mail bag. A defender of Mayor SOS and the DEM implosion. He only sounds off on Paul, the Alliance Party and anyone trying to correct 36 years of one party incompetence. The regular readers of the Gazetto are not used to hearing unfiltered news. That's why they go ballistic when exposed to the truth. Pull your heads out the sand-it's not something's awry/everything's awry. |
