SCHENECTADY -- A sex offender who police said had been tattooing juveniles for at least a year was arrested and charged on Saturday.
Jose Dones, 35, a Level 3 sex offender, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child, two counts of misdemeanor unlawfully dealing with a child and felony failing to register as a sex offender.
Police said an investigation by the department's Youth Aid Bureau discovered that several adolescents were tattooed by Dones. Police asked that any parents whose children may have been tattooed by Dones call the Youth Aid Bureau at 518-382-5256 to file a complaint.
