SCHENECTADY -- Two downstate men are facing assault, attempted robbery and weapons charges after allegedly pistol-whipping a man they tried to rob early Saturday morning on Albany Street.
Officers arrived at 905 Albany St., between Martin and Steuben streets, to find the victim, described only as male, struggling with his attackers and screaming for help, police said.
After entering the building, the officers arrested Richard Lewis, 38, of Brooklyn and Leroy Deshoing, 23, also of the New York City area, and also found the handgun believed to have been used in the assault, police said.
The victim was treated at Ellis Hospital for cuts to his head and face and then released.
Lewis and Deshoing were charged with first-degree attempted robbery and second-degree assault, both felonies.
Deshoing was also charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and defacement of a weapon, both felonies, and misdemeanor second-degree menacing.
Both men were arraigned in City Court Saturday morning and sent to the Schenectady County Jail without bail.
DV says tax dollars MUST be spent on "the arts and culture" Oh, the millions upon millions upon tens of millions spent on Proctors and $0 in the neighborhoods. Oh so wonderful according to DV, Schnectady has to be so proud
So, DV, how come you don't own a house in AND LIVE IN the city?????????????????? Huh????????????? Well???????? Too chicken to answer that question?
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
More evidence of the continuing free fall in the City. The current administrations response? Freeze police hiring. Maybe another tax dodging governmental gin mill will turn it around.
"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
if these folks had some more culture they wouldn't suffer from mental illness....
The problem is, is that "culture" has been reduced to American Idol, Dancing With The...who?, and yelling at he TV while trained circus monkeys hit a rock, with a stick.

Yep, yet another crime in the city, and near downtown, more proof of that there is no miracle in the city. And of course, DV is silent.
So DV, when are you buying a house in the city that you have claimed over and over is so wonderful, the dems are the best thing, it's a miracle city. but you wont' move here?
DV, you better hurry and buy a house now before the mortgage rates go up

Especially since they are both Bronx residents. Is there anyone down there without a postal box and DSS account here?
On the TV reports this building had a lower floor for retail-which of course is empty. A sign Business for lease hung on the window. With all the rumored "rebirth" Albany Street looks worse than ever. There is no trickle down to the minority communities and they know it. The Friends and Family club is DEM whites only. When you drive up Albany St you should see Black owned business/Black owned business-NOTHING. Sickening as is the lack of comment about it.

the politicos certainly dont fluff their pillows there......but they do purchase a 'following' of sorts via care-taking....tossing fish instead of fishing poles.....let Bloomberg come and get his posse and take them back home
