We will print that one out to be read on the first Wednesday of this November.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Consider it "global warming" - or better, "climate change" ...

You keep underestimating pissed off taxpayers and change IS coming - it might blindside you - but it IS coming.

McGarry got votes because no one actually knew his platform.   When the folks find out what he really
wants to do, he will be lucky to get 5% of the vote.

McGarry is a compassionate, honest, conservative. It defines who he is! He talks the talk and walks the walk! Something most candidates can never say or do!!

McGarry is a very well liked and very well respected man in rotterdam and beyond. People of all political favors like and respect him. They don't look at the 'letter' he has after his name.....they look at HIM, THE MAN!

One doesn't find that attribute in candidates these days. It is refreshing and rotterdam is not only lucky to have him, they are lucky to have the chance to have him 'lead' them!!!

Good luck to Brian McGarry!!!

Does McGarry have a resume?

http://www.brianmcgarry.org

I don't know Mr. Calder but his "resume" looked like one of a man of accomplishment.  There is no denying that Mr. Hull in Schenectady is another man of accomplishment.  I only met Brian when we ran together.  He is a man of accomplishment in his own right, as each of us usually is.

My advice remains the same when it comes to voting.  Put aside the "label" and look at the character of the man.  Does he have the courage of his convictions?  (You've got to understand what that really means to answer it properly.)  For me, that's often the whole game because if he does, he'll get what needs doing done.

Start looking for solutions to come from beyond the rhetoric.  Ultimately, we need candidates that are informed on the local issues, have a plan to address them, AND then actually DO something timely to improve those things.  ANYONE that decides to run for office better already specifically KNOW what needs doing and HOW they intend to do it or they're the wrong person for the job.

McGarry didn't strike me as being informed on local issues and plenty of what he said he would do (last year) if elected --- he couldn't legally do.

Are many people aware that McGarry said last year -- that on day 1 he would either tear up the contract
with the police union or do away with the police department ???????????????

The point is that many of his ideas are not only reckless but can't be done unilaterally or at all.

He lacks the wisdom to know what is possible and what is not possible.

I followed his campaign and don't recall him saying anything like that.  Can you point to something to
substantiate your statement or is this more empty and baseless rhetoric?
