Yesterday FDG (Napoleon) and Bobby G. (Hitler) made the decision to move employees, not
all employees just four.  Three typists and an account clerk.

Molly from the Senior Center will be working at the Town Court.  She tells me that the seniors, her boss
DM and she herself does not want to leave the center.  The Seniors are pissed and will be marching on
Town Hall at the January 12, 2011 town board meeting.

Donna from the Highway Department will be moved to the Supervisors office and will be required to
not only perform her duties at the Highway, she will also be doing the job of the current typist.  No, not
do nothing Darlene, Diane.  Donna has also told me she does not want to be moved.

Cindy, formerly Eunice's typist, former typist for the senior center, former typist for the Highway Dept. and finally the
current typist for the Public Works Department will be transferred again to the senior center to take Molly's place.
Cindy has told me that if she has to be moved she would like to move to the Town Court; however,
she would like to stay at the Department of Public works.

Diane from the Supervisors office will be transferred to the Department of Public Works.  Diane
has told me that she is happy where she is in the Supervisors office and prefers to stay there.

Now why I ask you if all of these people, who know their jobs, do well at their jobs and prefer
to stay at their jobs are being moved?

Hitler and Napoleon your days are numbered!

well,     OK there...................Justin

you know it is against the rules for employees to talk to the "press"

Mr. Supervisor

Bring MOLLY Back

in order to send a proper message to our Town Supervisor it is suggested the following tool be brought to town hall on jan 12th

http://www.costumersnetwork.com/product-detail/55543/mini-glitter-pitchfork/

save on shipping, pay local sales tax and visit "the costumer"

Talking to each other is better than talking about each other

Yup--well at least they didn't "abolish" their jobs just to get them out.

Mary, you might want to settle down.  This is just a continuation of Tommasone's policy of cross-training.  We don't get to choose when or where we get moved to, but should just be happy we still have a job.  Besides, since when did you become the HR director?

I am not a big fan of FD or BG, but moving people around is nothing knew at all.  Every administration for the last 20 years has done the same thing.  As for the seniors marching on townhall, ask boomer how much difference that made.

Every supervisor for the past 30 years in every town in the state move personnel around.  You are spot on Zorro.  Be happy you didn't get pink slipped.  The powers of the Supervisor are now being tested and we shall see who is the Chief Operating Officer....FDG or the CSEA union and we all know the abuse of power that took place in our neighboring city when the CSEA is given free reign.  Get behind the Supervisor or get OUT!!!!!!!!!

Cross training is one thing. Being moved from one job to another is also one thing and is actually encouraged.

But even in private businesses, some people question the motives. Some people are moved around for cross training, for the advancement of the positon/person and some are moved around before they are moved 'out'.....or perhaps it is done to create an undesirable atmosphere  in the hopes of a resignation. It's done in private businesses everyday.

And to follow up on that BT...from what I am told it is a hostle work environment in TH, Senior Center and Hwy Garage.  Give it a chance.  It beats layoffs if you ask me.

I agree.  And on that note,  perhaps the powers that be in rotterdam will begin to take on the other unions, besides the CSEA.

Yeah right!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

beats layoffs???

start with the town clerk - can find her way to town hall

followwed by a confidential sec - if party wasnt such an issue we wouldn't need a condidential sec or a full time "deputy town clerk"

then the police chief

police overtime in the last three working years to bump retirement

with union hires -  if your pick is not in the top three - i dont want them working on my dime

if the admin(dem or rep) would use the csea staff wisely we wouldn't need the fulltime appointments

respect your staff and they will work for you not againt you

Previous administrations have filled the position of Confidential Secretary for years --- it is done in
other municipalities --- there is absolutely nothing wrong with having one.

The position of Deputy Town Clerk would be necessary - even if the Town Clerk were back from her
medical leave.

It's done in the bureaucrat heaven called New York State.  Local governments create unnecessary patronage postitions to reward party loyalist.(mainly Democrat)

That way the party can shop around local governments controlled by their party to place bureaucrats like JM and the Confidential Secretary from I believe Rensselaer.

JM is the assessor for two towns of approximately the same size.  One town pays $90K full time the other $33K part time.  Either one town is over paying and getting ripped off, or the other is going to be getting poor service(it was poor when he was full time) since it is obvious we will be second fiddle to JM's primary job.  Time will tell.

There absolutely everything wrong with having a confidential secretary.  What is so secret and confidential at the peoples Town Hall?  It's A SECRETARY - it could be filled by many qualified people in Rotterdam.  But by attaching the word "confidential" to the title, they expect to convince the people that it is a necessary political appointment.  What a joke.
