Someone asked me, what will become of the Albany Diocese. It's not what will become of Albany, it is what has become of Albany.  It seems to me the damage is 95% done.  It comes in part from having the same (bad) bishop in place for the last thirty-three years.  That is a whole generation of Catholics that have grown up knowing nothing but the same poison.  The next bishop will have to be a missionary bishop, who will need to rebuild the Faith in Albany from the ground up.

Hubbard was just like much of the hypocritical Catholic hierarchy who swept allegations under the rug, paid off accusers, and transferred abusing priests rather than terminating them. He only started terminating them once the public outcry was great enough..

55 your litany of facts leave a lot to be desired.  There are people on that listed who have been vindicated.  Also you cite Fr. Joe Mancuso.  He was and is a fine man who had a fling with a young woman when he was 23.  The woman has not told the same story twice.  He SHOULD NEVER have VOLUNTARILY resigned his position.  In fact, many lawyers wanted to take his case because he could have been reinstated.   Also you have maligned several with no facts to back up what you have printed.  Shame on you.  For a Christian, you are a bigger hypocrit than our Bishop could ever be.

Father Mancuso is a great person and a wonderful priest.   He should never have been removed.  
Unfortunately, the "zero tolerance" policy had just been adopted by the National Conference of Bishops
and he fell victim to that.

First of all, I didn't put it up on the internet..don't bash the messenger, so you can stick it. If you can categorically exonerate EVERY ONE on that list, I'd love to hear it....BUT YOU AND I KNOW YOU CAN'T!!!
You can deny the catholic church hierarchy does not have issues all you want, but you'd lying to yourself.
As far as the Christian thing, you can be a good Christian and not listen to the Catholic church, in fact, that's how MOST Christians in this country do it. SHOW ME IN THE BIBLE WHERE CHRIST CREATED THE POSITION OF POPE AND THE HIERARCHY OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH.. I'll be waiting.
