This is rather moot on January 3, but I forgot to write this.

How come the taxpayer funded gin mills didn't fund free ride home programs for New Year's

Not really sure in this case.  It ends up that the irresponsible ones who get caught trying to murder someone on the roads, getting convicted of DWAI, DUI and DWI paid for the rides instead.

Someone sounds like they were too cheap to pay for a taxi ride home when they got drunk on New
Year's Eve.    Pay for your own cab you drunken he-she monkey.

Or maybe someone is responsible and pays taxes and is concerned about how their tax money is being spent.

There was a lot of publicity, rightfully so, about cab rides home on New Years.  One of the well publicized was done by Martin Harding and Mazzotti.   Seeing as the taxpayers have had their hard earned money stolen from them to give to the gin mills, wouldn't it be right that the gin mills use our tax dollars to fund such a program in Schenectady?

Yeah, and the gin mills should pay for their own property taxes instead of the taxpayers paying the taxes on their own homes AND for the gin mills, right?

Why spend money on rides when you can generate revenue by collecting DWI fines to help pay for patronage?  They do have principles you know.

There really is no reason to go out and drink on New Year's Eve.   Personally, I prefer a quiet night
watching  TMC or reading a book.
