SCHENECTADY -- An early morning blaze Monday destroyed two, two-family homes at 5-7 Daggett Terrace, Fire Chief Scott Dougherty said.
Ten to 12 residents lived in the buildings, Dougherty said. None of the residents was hurt in the 3:07 a.m. blaze. A firefighter was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries, Dougherty said.
The fire is believed to have started on the top floor of 5 Daggett Terrace, the chief said. Investigators are at the scene to pinpoint the cause and where the fire started.
In addition to the city Schenectady Fire Department, firefighters from Niskayuna, Rotterdam and Scotia were at the scene.
