The Schenectady County STOP-DWI Program is once again sponsoring a Safe Ride Home Program for New Year's Eve on Friday night and early Saturday. County residents can receive a free taxi ride home by calling 374-4101. Rides will begin at 10 p.m. Friday and run until 5 a.m. Saturday.
The program, in its 26th year, is funded by fines collected from driving while intoxicated offenders.
