AGAIN..........you mean to tell me that there is no nutritionalist or dietician to oversee these common sense issues??? Are they saying that the county health dept ran WITHOUT the oversight of a nutritionalist or dietician??????? OMG!

I'm sure when the elderly couples who own homes in the City are unable to pay the 3% county tax increase this year along with the increase of their City property and school taxes, they'll appreciate that they can catch a heck of a fast train out of Schenectady. Or when they are forced to eat their low sodium meals at the City Mission they can thank the federal government for not helping them afford housing, just heart smart menu options.

It goes to show you how a little brainwashing can go a long way for someone with an empty life.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

The nice thing about modern computer technology is that a person can work anytime of the day -- any day
of the week  .. and can do more than one thing at a time.

Try joining the 21st century ... you might enjoy it.

Nursing homes, hospitals etc all have nutritionists on site. Meals-on-wheels has never been a particularly nutrition conscious operation.  Nor are the congregate meal sites.

But the rate is lower! So what if the DEM idiots reassessed everyone at 140% of current values. Don't forget about the "multi-modal" trails. Instead of eating or heating their homes the seniors can go on an invigorating walk in below zero temperatures through the miracle sites of Mt Pleasant, Hamilton Hill and the Vale Village!

      Employment idea for Landslide Savage and Mayor SOS!! They can be the new salt checkers at the County feeding sites. But first raise the pay to over $100,000 per year.

AGAIN........doesn't the county health dept have a nutritionalist and/or dietician on staff?

If they do then why do they need taxpayers money for information that they should already have access to?

So do they or do they not? If so...who and how much are they getting paid? Doesn't anyone know this answer?

By reducing your sodium intake, you'll be healthier so you can work harder and longer in order to pay your taxes.

But you never denied being brainwashed, which is very telling.

Once again, since DV is NOT a taxpayer, he knows NOTHING.   He is the mouthpiece for Savage.   Saveage CLAIMED that the taxes were the lowest in 30 years, and DV merely repeats what the leader directs him to say.

DV, I guess you believe it because you don't have any understanding whatsoever about taxes (proving your story of owning property is a fairy tale).

In 1990, the county tax rate for the city of Schenectady was $56.66.   So, DV goes around bragging about his savage girlfriends claim that county taxes rates are the lowest in over a long period of time.

So, the county tax rate in the city this year is $6.56 and I guess that is what DV claims is the tax rate going down, huh???????

Would yoy care to explain, DV, the news, the PROOF POSITIVE that you are TOTALLY TOTALLY WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!!!!!!!   Show us the tax RATE last year and this year for the city of Schenectay.   Come on DV, show us how it has decreased !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    Well DV???????    Come on DV    Show us.

One thing that neither DV nor his savage girlfriend understand is that the rate of the past is based on a different equalization rate.  And using 1990 and 2011 illustrates it perfectly.

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.

speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

SCHENECTADY COUNTY
County to expand public health programs with grants
BY MICHAEL LAMENDOLA Gazette Reporter

Schenectady County will expand public health programming next year after receiving grants totaling $279,000 from the state and the federal government.
The county will use the grants to launch programs to:
Reduce the incidences of diabetes mellitus in the West Indian Guyanese population in the county;
Increase awareness of calorie labeling in restaurants among women between the ages of 25 and 44 with children;
    Reduce sodium in meals served in restaurants frequented by senior citizens and in meals prepared for distribution at local senior meal sites and by Meals on Wheels.
    County Manager Kathleen Rooney said the grants “make it possible to expand our health programming and to provide benefi cial services to residents of our community.”
    Dr. David S. Pratt, commissioner of public health for Schenectady County, said the county received $200,000 from the state Department of Health and the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for the program to combat diabetes; $120,000 from the CDC and the state for the sodium reduction program; and $20,000 from the state for the calorie labeling awareness program. Several of the grants are multi-year. .......................>>>>...................>>>>................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r01402&AppName=1

And how much do you want to bet that with this (non-mandated) addition to a mandated program, we'll still hear the whining from the left that it's the state mandates that are driving our taxes up?  It makes me really wonder how much of the things that they are saying are state mandates really are.  I mean, how many things were started just because we just got a little seed money, and now run as a state mandate because we got the money the first time, but are now unfunded?  And how many of the representatives at the county level voted to approve this, and what party are they part of?

...but hey, we got some free money!
