New York State Police in Oneonta, N.Y. investigated a one-car fatal automobile accident that occurred today, December 16, 2010, at 8:45 a.m. on I-88 near milepost marker 64. Vehicle one, a 2005 Nissan Titan, was eastbound on I-88 when the operator, Mark Sheridan, age 45, of Schenectady, N.Y. lost control and went off the north shoulder and overturned down the median. Mr. Sheridan, who was not wearing his seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle. He was taken to A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta, N.Y. where he was pronounced deceased. The passenger in the vehicle, Yaritza Cruz, age 34, Albany, N.Y. who was wearing her seatbelt, was treated and released at A.O. Fox Hospital.
