Taxin Paul Tonko joined a small group of far left wackos in opposition to the continuation of the Bush tax rates. Tonko thinks this is a good time to raise taxes? He stated that he favored more public make work programs.

Congressman Tonko is so out of touch it's laughable. He refuses to understand that more money in people's pockets creates greater demand for goods and services. Not more artificial public make work programs. Obama tried that over the past two years and unemployment skyrocketed. Only in this area would someone as lunatic left as Tonko get re-elected.

I would of liked to see the bottom rate go back to 15% from 10% too! I agree with Tonko. Some people just aren't paying their fair share- starting with the bottom foot-dragging earners.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

What is wrong with him? Congressman Tonko wants people on the lowest income level to see a huge increase in taxes. So they can leave the job market and join the mob at DSS.

I want to hear how hard working this moron is. He's working hard on his Marxist agenda, huge tax increases, abortion on demand, a ban on Charter schools and soak all job producers. He knows as little about economics as energy issues. Tonko is to the left of Obama and there's not much room over there.

"With great pride and even more humility..."  Yeah, so much humility that she needs to bring her own birthday into the issue of the signing of the bill.  That shows some humility.  Now, unless Ms. Pelosi has a medical condition, I think that she has some very wonderful doctors who have done plenty of plastic surgery on her.  You look at her face and it shows that it would litterally be impossible for her to frown, even if she really wanted to.  Great humility.

Tonko should follow Gibson’s example

Hey, “double-dipper” Paul Tonko, are you listening?
According to News Channel 13, Chris Gibson is going to cancel his Army pension. During a town hall meeting in Hudson last week, Gibson called double-dipping “greedy.”
I guess you still think it’s not greedy to accept yours since, after all, New York has lots of cash to burn.

He's a double dipper too? That figures. No one should collect a public pension while still on the taxpayer's dime.

But DVR insists Paul Tonko is hard working?-lol-Hard working at every festa and church supper trying to get a freebie. He can't afford to pay with his State pension and huge Congressional salary? He is more suitable representing Berkeley or the Upper West Side. That he represents our hard working people {many who can't pay the property taxes} is a disgrace.

I have to agree with boomer on this one.  Gibson SERVED in the military protecting our nation.  He earned his pension, his service wasn't by winning elections in gerrymandered districts, or showing up to a 6 figure political appointment job like the one Tonko accepted then retired from.  Gibson deserves his military retirement; military pension is a form of compensation that helps the military compete with the private sector.  I don't think a pubic pension for elected office should be a reason to hold elected office.  It goes for political appointment also.  Unfortunately, too many of our elected official run for office and get involved in politics just for that reason.

Tonko is so disconnected from the people he represents; yet his name recognition gets him elected every time.  It amazes me!

When is Pauly going to come out of the closet?  He needs to be out there like ole Barney Frank.
