I was told that it was not Holly V. It was Holly VanS...something. and the other gentleman was Pat Zigller (sp).
Well over 100 folks I was told!
Yes, you are correct, not Holly V., someone at the REP Party County level. I would say estimate of 100 is pretty good since people were coming and going all night. It was more like a big family reunion at a major holiday, like Christmas. Loud, lots of people introducing themselves to one another, lot of checks being written. Felt like a lot of energy in the room (Buchanon saw it first hand), all good for McGarry . . . |

Listen I am for a primary because this is America and the people should decide I am just saying even if he wins the primary he will not win. It will just go to the dems again. And while the NNTP does not exist at this moment the people behind the NNTP are and if they pull the same tricks the played last time (getting money from RAC, having state workers carry petitions while on state time, telling people that the petitions were for the endorsed Republican Canidates) thats where I will have a problem. If BM plays this one honest than yeah I have no problem with him at all. If not and the same games are played like last time than the AG's office will just have to get involved. Like I said I know BM and ive seen two sides of him. I am not saying he is a horrible person I am just saying the NNTP guys are polluting his mind. If he can break away from them maybe everyone would be able to play nice and we wouldnt have these issues. Also who is to say there will even be a primary the Rotterdam Reps havnt interviewed for Sup yet and not canidates have been announced. If BM decides to primary and wins than he will have my full support. But for now i am just a concerned resident who just has some things to say. |

First of all, you are clearly not an average concerned resident. You appear to be hellbent on this RAC thing. Like someone posted earlier.........the petitions are public....check them out for yourself. The 'average concerned rotterdam resident' could give a crap less about RAC or who got what signature. Point in case....the dems and cons have been doing this for years and the 'concerned residents' don't obviously give a crap...cause they are WINNING!! So I highly doubt you are an average rotterdam resident here! The 'average rotterdam concerned resident' is tired of the rep's inner stupid, childish fighting and the dems socialist agenda!! McGarry fits the bill!! That is a no brainer my 'average concerned rotterdam resident'! |

Stop the old vendettas and RACC nonsense. Nobody cares-move ahead with a victorious REP unity slate. All backward looking REP fossils must get out of the way. Should have happened long ago. |

I dont care what the Dems and Cons do but when Rac is helping the NNTP which in turn factions off the Rep party than yeah that is a problem. And if the Dems and Cons are doing that than I suggest someone who is concerned with their dealings contact the AG office as well because if we are all for BM and no new taxes than we should all have an issue with Tax money going to pay people to walk around getting signatures rather than doing their actual jobs. And yes I know the petitions are public and the "inner stupid childish" behavior of the reps can be blamed on the NNTP not really BM but Mertz and and the other ones. BM got involved with them and had no idea what they were doing behind the scenes until it was to late and he will even tell you he knows what was going on and only found out close to then end of the election. |

I know this is a losing battle with everyone here but I do agree on Unity Benny. Unity is not being strong armed by the NNTP however into supporting who they want to run. Everyone deserves to be interviewed and given a chance to become a canidate. If someone with better ideas or more experience comes along than they should be chosen. And I do have to say BM has the ambition to run a good campiagn and get started early. Just give the REPS a chance to interview and see who comes out on top. |

You are singing to the wrong choir here...........the rotterdam rep faction started l-o-n-g before BM EVER came on the scene. Rotterdamians are well aware of that! Again........check out those petitions yourself.....a few of us have already....k? Get over yourselves and get on with the 'people's business'.......k? |

Lantern, "just give the REPS a chance to interview"?
First, they need to ramp up their process if they want to win, waiting doesn't help.
You were obviously hurt by the nntp, but your problem appears to be with Mertz and it is well understood he is not involved. As for the petitionsn still waiting on that percentage thing.
"Who comes out on top" really? Everyone knows that Parisi holds all the proxies and controls tracy like a puppet, Mcgarry could be Ronald Reagan himself and he would not get the endorsement. Why? Because as far as Parisi/Tommasone are concerned it is either what's in it for them or retribution for last election.
I also disagree with your prediction that should Mcgarry win the primary he loses the general. Dems have nobody that can beat Mcgarry. A unified slate with Mcgarry will win back control from the Dems. |

GP may hold the proxies but he does not control the Chairwoman at all.
For all you know the process is being ramped up to find canidates.
GP and ST do not control the party as much as you want to believe that its not true.
Hypothetical Reps run a great canidate who is also endorsed and if from another party or their own who gets endorsed by another party. BM wins primary and has NNTP line (if they get the signatures needed). VOTES get taken away from BM because there will be people that vote for other canidate and the DEMS walk right in. I say just let it just happen like that than.

Lantern, you are nuts.
BM gets REP and NNT he wins.
The primary voters will NEVER support a non-republican as their supervisor candidate. If you are insinuating ND, it's even more of a no brainer because she took out the two Joe's and she'll NEVER win a primary.
As for your hypothetical that she goes on and gets her party endorsement (con I believe), first I am sure Mcgarry primaries that line if he doesn't get the endorsement. And even if she gets it, his nnt line will outweigh her votes on con. WC then only has Dem and WF, and IND is still a toss up.
No matter how you add it up, Mcgarry with REP and nnt wins.
Also, don't fool yourself, tracy is chair BECAUSE they can control her. |

As far as Draper goes .. it is a good project ... yes, it would have been great if a developer could have come in and put it on the tax rolls. But, I haven't heard of anyone even slightly interested in spending the money to rehab the old school. Pioneer is relocating because their business is growing and the facility will house more than just a branch bank. So that is progress. The tax breaks on the Recovery Room - like every other Metroplex project - gradually phase out over a period of years ... so the property will be paying some property taxes .. not to mention generating sales tax revenue ... and , most importantly, the project will have a "snowball effect" and encourage other development on the Curry Road-Altamont Aveune Corridor. So -- all in all -- it is good to see something being built .... new businesses coming in .... now -- they need to fix up 4 Corners ( I do miss the pizza from there.) , Hamburg Street and the Curry Road Plaza. |

Listen Lantern........rotterdamians have been waiting for the reps to pull it together and give them a viable 'winning' candidate. Isn't it about time to unify, bury the hatchet and give the rotterdamians what they want. AND A WIN FOR THE REPS!! Honestly, after this last bunch, it should be an easy win for the reps....really!!! Have you viewed this present town board lately? FDG is done. WC would have more support than FDG, but not enough to win and not what the townspeople want. ND - is a watch dog but hardly rotterdam town leadership material. ST - is done BG - what can we say? The rep line and the nntp line is the recipe for a rotterdam rep win!! |

WC - is what TJ hooker/ Dagastino/ Savage want --- might as well throw DVOR into that mix
that should be enough for you clowns to get your act together and unite against the democrat bullsh!t
but then again your town chair is on record with the DEMS in support of a taxing district with Tony J.......... so do you actually expect anything else but a primary from a real smaller govt fiscal conservative???????????
