Ya mean like FDG did? lol.

Mr. DelGallo has had a reasonably good first year in office.   The Draper school project, Recovery Room-Berkshire Bank project, the Golub warehouse project, The Pioneer bank project, the condominium-retail project on Burdeck street and the progress made on the Bicentennial Park project and BOA study in Rotterdam Jct are all
examples of successes in 2010.    There have been a few "bumps" in the road .. but there has certainly been
a lot of progress.

' no new taxes' is EXACTLY what the taxpayers want to hear. They also do not want their tax dollars supporting private businesses.

It is not the role of government to 'create jobs'. It is the role of government to create a safe environment with the infrastructure to support business growth.

BM is just what the doctor ordered for rotterdamians.

We have seen more progress in the past 12 months than we have seen in many years.

Progress def. Huge tax increases on businesses/residences, employment of Rensselaer County residents, a Malloozzi on every bored and a Town Bored running neck and neck with Schenectady for worst in State.

A non-profit at the draper school, a gin mill that got $$ to seal the deal and one can only guess what their tax exemption will be. And a bank that is relocating from one end of the street to the other. Progress????

Saying "no new taxes" and being able to deliver are two different things ---- McGarry wants to abolish the police department and doesn't believe in applying for state and federal grants for town projects ---- so he won't be able to provide a safe environment nor the infrastructure that we need in our town.

Put a fork in McGarry -- he is done.

Disposable income is down, taxes are at record levels {because of working together DEM morons}and banks are opening on every corner. The banks need to go back to giving out free toasters. Then you have something to sell when having a garage sale before fleeing South.

Frank presented a 2011 town budget that would have resulted in a property tax increase of 7%+.
That is irresponsible during one of the worst economic downturns in our nation's history and in
a county that already ranks annually among the Top 20 nationally for the highest property
taxes per median home value.

BM has a very strong respect for rotterdam law enforcement. And it was the residents who suggested abolishing the police dept. I know this first hand.

Taxpayer's money being used for infrastructure is one thing......sealing a private business deal and supporting private businesses with taxpayer money is quite another.

Your mis-quided assumptions are not based on fact. And they are just that.......mis-guided, rhetorical assumptions. IMHO

Ron,

You can continue to post fallacies regarding Brian's positions.  Despite your assertions, he never stated that he wanted to
"abolish the police department".  And, your statement about Brians' position pertaining state and federal grants is one that
I have never heard spoken by him over the many years of our personal relationship.

McGarry wants to abolish the police department .

That's a little over the top don't you think?  Are you saying McGarry is an anarchist?  I've heard of heated political rhetoric, but to fabricate this whopper of a lie is disturbing.  I wouldn't even waste the time answering such an irrational statement.

McGarry is not ready to be Town Supervisor.  He was not very effective on the Rotterdam IDA.  Just shouting "no new taxes" is not enough.    He does not have a clue how to attract good economic development nor how
to lower spending nor how to cut taxes.

No, I think he does understand that government involvement in"attracting good economic development" means greasing businesses with taxpayer money.  It's what is known as crony capitalism.  The people have been led to believe over the decades that without the almighty politician giving your money to their business person of choice, you the little person wouldn't have one of the jobs they create.  THAT IS A FALLACY!

You are right about one thing; McGarry shouting "no new taxes" on an IDA stacked with crony capitalist wasn't going to get much support.

OHHHH GODDDDDDDDDDDDDDD! HE WON'T KEEP OUR KIDS SAFE! AN UNSAFE ENVIRONMENT! OHHH MY! HE TRIES TO THROW BABIES OFF CLIFFS AND STARVES OLD PEOPLE TOO! I HEARD HE PEES ON THE GRAVES OF WAR HEROES TOO! GASP!

DumocrapicVoodoo figures the bigger the lie he tells the better. Kind of like the people he gets his typing points from. SaVAGE, Gardner, Dagostino, Mallossi, etc. I wonder what he tells the priests at his weekly cornfessen' session. he knows these things are not true and he is more liable to change his stance more than a prizefighter in a bayou bare-knuckle match. One week is drools over Palin, then the next week when the dem voodoo priests try to frame her as an accomplice to mass murder in Tucson, he calls her nasty names. This puppet wouldn't have an independent thought if he got a brain transplant from Rousseau. A sock puppet for guttersnipe nasties without one lasting accomplishment in his invalid and squalid life. Sad.
