According to the Greater Capital Association of Realtor, Schenectady County had the biggest drop in sales and the lowest increase in sales price in the Capital District. As usual, this County had by far the lowest average sale price. After 10 years of Metrograft-nothing improves-the number of home sales continues to plummet while average sales price stays the lowest in the entire area.

Albany-Sales down 36%-median sale up 6% to $205,000.

Rensselaer-Sales down 40%-median price up 14% to $192,000.

Saratoga-Sales down 26%-median price up 7% to $253,000.

Schenectady-Sales DOWN 43%-median price up ONLY 3% to $153,000.

And the DEMS want to build more surplus housing at ALCO?

This is a MIRACLE!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Run down and get your condo at ALCO! Only 1,000 left! Units still available near the RPI nuclear reactor and toxin plumes.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to pay record City/School property taxes. City taxes only going up 6%! They have more pensions to pad!

This means lower mortgage taxes/fees. lower title taxes/fees and less County revenue from property transactions. It also means much higher property taxes since the County DEMS refuse to cut anything.

Fulton County just got out of the nursing home business. They join Montgomery and Albany Counties in privatizing. Meanwhile back in the socialist paradise...more working together blather.

Now watchh DV say that "Savage's miracle" has raised prices.    I might expect that prices could go up a wee bit in places like Nisky, Glenville, Duanesburg, Princetown.  But, the "miracle" as Savage, DV, and Co. call it is in Schenectady CITY.

Would DV care to get some figures from GCAR, no, a link to them, that says Schectady CITY's property values are going up????????    ROFLMAO

It is really bizarre that such a glut of homes on the market has not led to substantial price deflation.

No, because they've got everyone believing there's a renaissance and "good things are happening".  People can't afford to relocate and take losses on their homes. They're caught in a money pit that there's no way to get out of.

IT HAS BEEN OVER A DECADE since the plex has promised 'good' jobs and lower taxes.

Schenectady county is now the highest taxed in the state and the 19th in the entire country!!!!

And if ya wanna count the 'relocations' for jobs..........then BRAVO! Mission accomplished!!! NOT!
